Light oil in intake ... Plus spark plug wires off coils!!!
Added my Vmax Ported TB today and had a few learnings ...
1. Found very light oil in intake. Looks like pcv outlet is in there??? Is this normal or could there be a problem?
2. I removed the plastic beauty covers (Corvette LS3) and what a surprise ... 3 of the plug wires were off or barely making a connection (rubber boots looked like they had some arcing possibly)
I now have all 8 plug wires tightly on the coils and plugs and the car runs nice and smooth and FAST! Throttle response is crisp and car feels great. Concerned about the oil though, wondering if the 2 issues could be related?
Your expert advice???

not a true problem, but you can buy a catch can to trap the oil. the engine will just reburn it. thats how the system is designed. a good catch can with a separator will stop oil from going in intake. but a light coat is nothing to freak out about its normal.

PCV Oil in the intake can cause carbon buildup on pistons, leading to hot spots, pre-ignition detonation (pings), and timing being pulled. That's why catch cans are installed. Mine does a great job of minimizing the amount that gets in the intake.
