Default How to repair a nail pucture....

I just picked up a nail in my driver rear 325/30 19 Goodyear F1 Runflat.(mounted on 12x19 GS factory rims)...got the car home with 20lbs or so of pressure still in it so I didn't have to run it "flat"...I put a floor jack to keep the vehicle weight off it until I figure out what do do...I can see the nail....dead center of the width of the tire...12,000 miles on these original tires on my 2010 GS Callaway SC606.... ....I am planning to replace these tires when necessary with Michelins but these still have lots of tread on them(I never smoke them)so with the summer only driving I do, that wouldn't likely be until summer 2012....please give repair suggestions....

The "proper" Goodyear Run Flat Repair Procedure is clearly laid out in the Goodyear tire warranty pamphlet. If you don't have yours, here it is.

Basically the tire HAS TO COME OFF the rim. So you need to take it to a tire shop that knows how to handle run flat tires, many don't.

I've had two Goodyear RFs repaired. I ask the shop to do a plug and a patch repair. I've never had any trouble at all w/ these repairs.

Thanks again....I have typically used 95 ft llbs of torque on my other car lugs before....using an "opposite side" pattern around the "star"....(if that discription makes any sense)....going around at around 40lbs, then agout 60 and finally to 95.bs.(I have a beam type torque wrench)....please critique my method and give corrections or improvements....I also put anti seize on the bolts....

Close... the correct torque is 100 ft-lbs.
