2007 Check Oil Level Warning... Help
I have a 2007 coupe with the Z51 package and auto transmission. Lately I've been getting the Check Oil Level warning come up. It happens random around town, but consistently when i travel long distances. Ive recently had the oil changed to see if it would fix the problem but it hasn't. Every time the warning comes up I check the oil and it is fine.
Do you think it could be the oil level sensor? Someone please help?

If your oil level is good, per the dipstick, then your sensor is probably lying to you. On oil pan, passenger side.

I would check actual level first. Assuming it's good, check for a loose connection at the sensor plug and/or any visual damage to the wiring. You could put dielectric grease in the plug to see if that helps (it's easy and very inexpensive). If that doesn't do it, wait til next oil change and replace the sensor at the same time. Other options include a relay problem, but troubleshooting electrical stuff is not my bag of chips.

Burning Brakes
I have just started receiving the same error code on my car it appears one day then doesn't appear for weeks. It actually came on yesterday and just like GameY2J stated I checked the oil and even had a oil change and it still comes on. Anyone know what kind of hassle it is to DIY or should I take it too the shop?
