Do you guys inspect and perform any type of functionality check on the cores you receive from customers? I'd hate to ship my brand new TB off, only to receive one from a motor with 100k miles or more on it.

Yes. All are dissasembled and inspected before machining. These appear to be able to outlive most motors so thats a good thing.

Wait is down to 1-2 weeks right now....shipped a bunch over the last 2 days and a new batch is due next week. LS1/6 & LS2/7 are in stock ready to ship....LS3's are the wait.

Adds about 2 days to the process. Not long.

Mine just showed up today. I had it on the car and had mine in the box in less than 30 minutes. This is the easiest mod I've ever installed, and I usually suck mechanially.

Can't comment on the performance yet, since it's been thunderstorming here all evening, but so far idles fine without popping the SES light.

You will notice it right away. I rate this the best simple mod for the money period.

You're absolutely right. The difference in throttle response is very noticeable. There is no hesitation whatsoever anymore with acceleration. I am extremely happy with this mod.

It was at that point that we were going to drop in your TB which should (or should not) show an improvement without any kind of tuning. Off course if it flows better we'll have to lean it out a bit by tuning some more.

I didn't mean to beat you up on your 7 day return but, it does make the process a tad hectic. I'll call you direct once the car is scheduled at the tuners (currently May 19th) and see when you can ship so we can drop it in and then return the stock core to you. It's a good thing that you can't get cores back fast enough!
Forget about it!! I just tried ordering one of these and they wouldn't guarantee it could make it from Florida to Rochester NY in 5 days. Remember the 7 day return policy on the core; how are you supposed to do that if I can't even get itin 5 to 7 days? The core charge on an LS2 TB has now, all of a sudden, gone from $300 to $375; better yet, I was told if the TB was hot or the engine "heat soaked" that this TB wouldn't show any improvement. No lie that's a quote

I'm not sure if you understand but anything engine that gets heat soaked will not be as efficient as a cooler engine. I'm not sure what miracle you expected out of a $165 mod.

Did you bother even reading the previous reply?
Who's BYUN SPEED? I called Vmax direct.

I had no problem with mine. I recieved it, next day installed it, and the day after sent it back UPS. I checked my discover card in a couple weeks, and my $200.00 core was refunded. NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL!

Because you called VMax direct that is the core charge. We buy our own cores and have them done and ready so ours is $300 on the LS2/7's. If you need it by the week end go with 2 day shipping and it will be there.

The LS3's take 2-3 weeks lead time due to the demand and shortage of cores, the LS1/6 and LS2/7 are in stock and we just need to assemble and ship so usually only 1-2 days before they ship.

The person who was trying to help you.

You posted about purchasing this on 05-03-2011, 06:50 AM. If you were on a time crunch then you should have ordered it then and like I stated before we would have worked with you on the core return. We'll always try and go out of our way to help a customer if there is a special need.
