Yes I run at RP all season long in the Corvette Challenge Pro 11.50 index class, lots of fun.
I know Carmen (and Dennis too), used to see them at the track all of the time, I'm friends with a few of their customers as well.

I spoke to Brian at Hinson super cars about power gains, but I want to hear from anyone else who thinks what gains I will get making this change from the stock 1.7 to the 1.8 rockers.
I can't answer you HP question but I did have Crane 1.8's installed a few years ago at the same time as a Calloway Honker. I had headers done a few months earlier. The rocker/honker install made an easily noticeable difference on the butt dyno. I understand that mere mortals like can't detect less than a 10 HP change.

I didn't want a cam at the time. I got the rockers because, after doing some reading, several forum searches and having a discussion with my friend Spinmonster, I expected to gain 12-14 HP from the rockers. I would expect something similar for yours, holding design differences aside.

Now, I have the cam and heads and the rockers are in the basement. I'd do the rockers again under the same circumstances.

For what it's worth, I like the rule that says, "if it touches motor oil, it's not a bolt on." I'll be pissed though, if I get a new car and put only headers on it and spill some oil on the headers!

I installed the Vinci Crane Quick Lift rockers, 1.8 ratio.
There were three major reasons I opted to install rocker arms over a cam.

● I have a modest horespower goal.
● While I personally installed cam in my 2002 LS1 T/A, the cramped front of the 'vette looked like a nightmare for cam installation.
● Moving up to higher-ratio rocker arms is potentially worth some power-and is a quick and simple bolt-on that can be accomplished in less than a day, without opening up the engine.

Vinci Crane Quick Lift pros:
●Better geomentry for better results. (For explanation, see article below.)
●No interference with stock valve covers.
●Stiffer pushrods are also included in the Crane kit, as experience has shown that the stock soft pushrods are one of the LS-series engine's weak links.
●First CNC machined from super strength alloy, then treated with their "Mikronite" process to increase strength and durability by reducing stress-riser cracks and surface inclusions.
●They're purty!

Vinci Crane Quick Lift cons:
9 hp - - not quite Crane's claimed 20 hp, but then again the engine still has the stock cam with no drivability issues.
Because they employ poly locks and guide plates, this can scare some ppl as the valve lash must be adjusted manually. But follow the (excellent) instructions for zero problems.

Read an article on Crane Quick Lift rockers here: http://www.tomhenryracing.com/parts/features/quicklift/

Product page from Vinci Hi-Performance. http://www.vincihiperformance.com/NE...TS%20PAGE.HTML

My Dyno sheet. Before and after Vinci Crane Quick Lift rockers, no other mods, no tune.
Since dyno runs took place some weeks apart, YMMV.

was your intake manifold stock?
Did you adjust the tune after installation?

Stock manifold.
My Dyno sheet shows the before and after Vinci Crane Quick Lift rockers, no other mods, no tune yet. (Waiting for warm weather to bolt on my headers.)
Since the dyno runs took place some time apart, YMMV.

I just looked, you have an LS3. I was thinking LS2 with headers.

Looking forward to seeing your post header numbers.

Are you sure they're lighter?

I was told by HinsonSuperCars that they're heavier than stock.

I didn't think they were lighter either. Up until somewhat recently I think all aftermarket rockers were heavier than stock, hence one of the reasons why so many of the top performing heads & cam packages still retained the stock ones as long as they were in good working order.

Even if they were in good working order you would think people would change them out anyway for even better performance, plus less valve train wear for longer life.
