New PB in my 08 1LT
So I can't figure out how to launch this damn car, not sure if its the power curve, or the IRS, but my car either spins or bogs, and there is nothing in between. Its got a stock clutch so riding it and letting it come out with a little spin isn't doable unless I want to buy a new clutch. I have to have it fully engaged before the bottle hits or I risk frying the flywheel (the clutch that was in it did this very thing...)
I dont know how you guys turn such bad *** 60 foots out of these cars, but I sure wish I could... anyway here was my one and only pass before the car broke trying to leave at 4,000.
This pass was leaving at 3,000 even, bottle comes on at 3,600 after the major bog.
1.925 60 foot
4.81 330 foot
7.093 @ 109.3
10.65 @ 139.46
car should run 9s easy @ 140-141 with the trap speed, I just cant get it to launch. The time I tried to make it go it spit its guts out the back (twisted input shaft off the drivers side and split the diff cover on the passenger side!)
car was full weight ~ 3350 with me in it, gto spares in front and C5Z fronts out back with a 295/45/17 MT ET2 DR.

Rear is built with 300 Ms etc and micro polished 3.90s.. The rear is perfect, it just broke the spline off the driver halfshaft and when I fixed that I drove it around noticed it leaking badly from the other side... Tore it down and noticed a small crack in the case cover. Lol

Car has simple mods.. 2 inch kooks with 3 inch x into 2.5 inch corsa sports, vararam like the z06 uses, 3.9 gears with base close ratio trans, large cam, and a Cold Fusion wet plate 150 shot.. Stock heads and manifold still, nano isn't hooked up yet either..

I saw the 60' and thought that's fine for run flats, then read the rest of the splits and saw the tires.
That's a fast car once you get it rolling. Your 1-2 shift must come up instantly with the full hit coming on after launch.

I learned a lot on how to launch from Ranger.

The bog will kill your time. I get 1/8's if I bog. The clutch will take some abuse, I've got 48000 miles and 424 launches on my stock clutch. I take mine up to about 5000-5500. I now accelerate into the clutch release, a quick release, NOT a dump. When you are just learning, you should hold at rpm and release, accelerating into the release is the way to really fast times but it's hard on parts and takes practice.
The key is to let the clutch out slow enough to keep the revs above 4500, or at least 4000. Actually with your stock cam you can go lower than that, but I'd still try to stay above 3500. Keep the clutch fluid clean before and after each strip event and you should have good luck with it.
My buddy has the ls2 clutch and NoS and turns mid 10's and even with me N/A, but he doesn't hit the bottle on launch, he does it later, not sure when.
here's some of my launches if you'd like to hear how I do it.

i never seen a before and after for the nano, so if you ever get a good test of before and after let me know if you dont mind. im kinda planning on a nitrous setup one day with the nano and about the same size shot you have but ill either 2 stage it or put on progressive controller.
thanks

It's quite pricey, so it would need to actually perform substantially better (meaning at least .1). It certainly looks cool though

haha, I asked the same and never got an answer either...fwiw Strokd, on a buddies cam only c5z with a 100shot and ls7 clutch on ET streets we played around with launch rpm/nitrous engagement and it actually ran it's fastest time 1.55 10.7@130 driving around the water box and just cleaning the tires off to minimize heat in clutch. Also no heat in the tires so they'd spin a little to allow the clutch to fully clamp, though the ET streets don't ever wheel hop because they're bias ply and a little shorter gearing which would also help you. We set the nitrous at 3200 and launched at 3500 to insure it hit out of the hole, but didn't have a lot of rpms to create extra heat.
