LS9 Supercharger or a Procharger?

A LS9 supercharger and required parts to install will run you over $11,000 plus you will need a custom tune and a new hood to clear the S/C. The Procharger is much cheaper and does not require a new hood.
If you want a top mounted supercharger similar to the LS9, then the Edelbrock E-Force is what you want. Looks like a factory install(better in my opinion), comes complete, every nut, bolt, washer, including the tune and does not require a new hood. Cost ~ $6,500 and installers are doing deals.

Just so you know you can get an A&A or ESC installed and tuned for less then E-Force purchase, but it's up to you to decide on appropriate power adder. So perhaps fill people in so you can get correct response.

Think you have to provide more details on what you want to do with your C6... Such as driving preference, M6 or A6/A4, end goal/WHP...

I hear nothing but great things about the ECS kit and if and when I decide to go FI, that's probably what I'd do.

M6, almost everyday driver...and an end goal with about 650rwhp.

At that power level you would be well advised to run meth injection. Most top mount s/cs can run meth but its less effective at lowering IATs. I have installed meth first hand on the E-force (same as LS9 unit) and the Kenne Bell s/c and it lowered IATs about 20 degrees while its 30+ on centri units. Warranties wont be honored if you have the TVS2300 and spray meth to raise octane/ lower IATs.
An ECS kit with a restrictor plate will get you and easy 500rwtq at 3000rpm while hitting 650rwhp. Later if you get a forged motor and want more, the ECS 1500 (smallest head unit) will support 750rwhp by just removing that restrictor plate. It fits under the stock hood, is undetectable with noise, and doesnt run hot like a TVS or Kenne Bell.
Personally I think they look good.......

I personally disagree about them looking good....they look cluttered/messy, but I've never cared about that. Performance > all...no one ever sees the underside of my hood anyway.

I have to agree with those that like the centri super chargers. I've got my little Si-trim pullied down to the max and the power hits the tires quick. I'm sure positive displacement s/c are fun too, but with my meth kit heat is not nearly the issue it is on a PD blower.

There is a place for both, but to get reliable HP above 600rwhp the centrifugal kit of choice is the only way to go... and they can look pretty under the hood, but I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder...

Aesthetically I think a P/D blower looks better than a centri. The p/d is proportioned and centered in the middle of the engine bay while the centri looks stuffed into the side. Now that being said, looks has little to no bearing on my FI decision. Much like why I removed the frc and hood mat from my car, when it comes to under the hood, performance is my only goal. I had a Paxton on a previous vehicle and just loved the way it kept pulling. ECS gets my vote.
