Default need help please

I'm a C6 newbie. Just bought a 2006 coupe with 6AT and procharger setup @ 5lbs. Nice driver.

Here's my concern: I am getting a "shuddering" sound/feel in second gear when I drive a little aggressive.
Doesn't happen in any other gears.

Happens on the 1-2 shift just for a second, then gone. Or if I'm locked in 2nd gear and roll on aggressively, it will shudder/shake.

anybody have any ideas of what I may be feeling ?

Thanks for your help/ideas.

Default Change the transmission fluid

Don't know if that will suffice, but you have nothing to lose....
It's a place to start anyway... surprising no other responses - hope you get it figured out without much expense!

Doesn't sound good. I'd have it checked out.

I've noticed a shudder like that before and I think it's the rear tires breaking loose then getting traction over and over.

The 05 and 06 C6's have a smaller rear end than the 07's and were know to have issues. If the rear-end is drifting to the right, it could be wheel spin. 5lbs of boost can increase your BHP by 50% and that can start loosening things in the drive line up a bit. If it only happens in 2nd gear, ease it up to 65 MPH, level out and then punch it. If you get that symptom, you may have a trans problem.

is it your traction control coming on?? Try turning it off and see if it still happens. Or it could be the clutch but I would think you would get the same results in first gear.
disclaimer: be careful

I can drive through this and not feel it, if I'm hard on the accelerator. It's only in a "medium" type acceleration.
Feels like a wheel hop almost, but not going hard enough to cause that.

I will try it today with TC disabled and see how it acts. Not liking this at all.

I appreciate the input.

Also had trans serviced / flushed / fluid replaced.

Hard to diagnose remotely but I would suspect wheel hop or TC.

Just drove with and without traction control . No difference. Aggressive roll on in second gear will produce this shake/shudder. Is this possibly wheel hop ?

If it was wheel hop I would think you could reproduce it in first gear too. What tires are you running?
