I had a Corsa Sport axle-back put on my ’07 Z51 C6 . I recently bought a 2010 GS with a stock (non-NPP) exhaust. I then added American Racing Headers long tube headers/x-pipe to the 2010 GS, keeping the stock GS axle pipes and mufflers. My questions are:

1.) Can I swap the Corsa Sport axle back from the Z51 to the GS with the ARH x-pipe _AND_ put the stock GS mufflers onto the ’07?
2.) If this swap is possible, do I need to swap the axle pipes or can I just do the mufflers (do stock GS axle backs have separate pipes and mufflers?)

Or more simply put:

What I Have
’07 Z51: Stock h-pipe -> Corsa Sport axle back
’10 GS: ARH x-pipe -> stock GS axle back

What I Want
’07 Z51: Stock h-pipe -> stock GS muffler
’10 GS: ARH x-pipe -> Corsa Sport muffler

If the parts will fit on both vehicles, and there is no compelling reason to change the axle pipes, then it's two less bolts I have to turn (or with my luck, break.) Anyway, thanks for any info. - mark

I don't believe that the corsa sports from your 07 will fit in the GS due to the extra clearance required, which is the reason for the change in exhaust angle for '09.

However, your exhaust off your GS might fit the '07, but you would require the '09-10 x pipe.

I could be wrong, I am of course assuming that the GS is a 2.5" system.
