Nothing I'm all that worried about, but maybe I never noticed it before.

2005, Z51, A4, 19k miles...when I drive it first thing in the morning to the gym, I park the car, put the tranny in park, foot off the brake and let it idle while I'm getting my things together. Within maybe 10 seconds of doing that I will hear 3 faint clicks from the back of the car. Almost sounds like something is adjusting but cannot imagine what. It's a little different sounding than the brake relay click.

Car operates fine. Just wondering what that might be...anyone have an idea?

It could be the Evap canister purge solenoid activation.

i get a weird noise like that too. usually hear it when i'm parking or slowing down (not all the time). 2008, 7K miles, A6.

I hear it all the time in my '07 A6. This morning I heard it backing out of my garage.
