^^^ I agree....I think Arnold's great set up is what's getting him that 60 foot...I could dump my clutch at 2700 rpm, but I just bog. I bog if I come out lower than 5000 I need to keep it above 4000 or it'll bog. That's my big cam with factory heads I think.

After watching the video, I just bought one so I should have some comparison numbers for you all soon. If nothing else I think it lessons the initial drivetrain shock which is the best selling point to me. Our two cars are very similar so it should be a good test...

When I go to the track next time I'll also be wearing skinnies, New Phadt Trans and Motor mounts and an 25% ATI underdrive pully...

On the downside, I'll be back to my old stock clutch and flywheel since I haven't gotten any resolution on my Zoom yet...

Arnold,
What rpm did you have it set at when you launched? I heard a reference to 2,700, is that it? I've always had to come out like Joe_G, somewhere above 4,000rpm for sure and usually closer to 5,200rpm... I guess that makes sense though since I got my launch tips from Joe_G. Thanks Joe!

What were your 60's before the 2 step?

What shocks do you have in the rear?

Do you have any install notes you'd like to share, mine will be here tomorrow...

Thanks!

Oh, when are you going to MIR next?

What kind of 60's did he run before the 2 step was put on?

Guys i Was Worried about the cats also at first but that is why I do not matt it until the second light is coming on . This keeps the fuel from loading up as much. As far as between the shifts the clutch is only in for a split second . Especially if you power shift .Remember this launch controller is just for the track so you will not load fuel in the convertors that often . .

so when you launched did you have the gas pushed all the way down and dump the clutch or did you feather the clutch?

But Arnold has a smaller cam and much better heads than me. I think he dyno'd at 490/460 or something like that.
When you run a 2step like it's inteded the throttle is floored so its not like he's launching@ 2700. Those rpm's are screaming when he releases the clutch. Keep in mind that you need a well prepped track also.

Double A, are you going to MIR this Sunday, it's the last chance to best your record. I finally finished putting mine all back together now, so I'll definitley be there...
I should also have my 2 step all hooked up by then as well.

^^^ dudes I wish I could be there!!! I went last Saturday to the 1/8 and got 7.3's and 7.4's and low 1.6's without trying and shifting slowly with my new trans....I'm loving these 4.10's.

Thanks buddy! One of these days I will.

Right now we're moving our business to a great new location so it's BUSY for me!

http://www.pritikin.com/index.php?op...age&Itemid=560

That said...I just might be able to sneak away super early Friday morn for a little racing - it's the traditional Citrus Nationals test day and the weather is currently calling for 63 degrees for a DA of 354...that's as close to mine shaft air as we get down here.....

Forget MIR, I'm coming to to Miami after looking at the link you posted. Nice place!

Care to guess some times for Double AA, yourself and me?

No doubt Isaiah, you'll see 10's. 10.8x for you.

Double A, I think your clutch isn't releasing after those super launches. Your trans isn't going to like that for long IMHO. I'd suggest flushing the heck out of your clutch, driving around a lot, then flushing a bunch of times. Might also consider changing your trans fluid to some super fluid like Royal Purple or Amsoil. If you can get your clutch to release and your trans to shift, 10.9x for you.

My DA might be good enough for me to tickle a 11.1...if I can muster the courage to beat ony car. I finally think I've got a decent trans and I'm timid to break it again!

Oh my goodness, you are only one series of speed shifts or powershifts away from running 10.90's or better

I mean, if the video above is you, then I have one question:
Are you sipping some tea between your shifts?

All in all, great runs, you have all the tools to run some 10's and possbily 10.60's with some skinnies.

Thanks,
Carlos
