new mods are on
I picked up my car from a forum sponsor Straight Line Performance (05 6spd Z51)
Car sounds and runs great, starts fine in the morning sitting outside (38 degrees)
Put down 429@ rear wheels on a mustang dyno with a little heat soak
the corsa sports sound insanely good with the cam and exhaust set up
here is some more info on the set up:
cam 232/234 114 lsa
kook headers 1 3/4 with catted x pipe
corsa exhaust
airaid intake
ported throttle body
ported intake manifold
patriot dual gold valve springs
titanium retainers
dual roller timing chain
hardened pushrods
melling ho oil pump
6800rpm redline

Burning Brakes
Looks good man
The Melling oil pump is for more or less pressure?
Make sure your not running on the stock runflats...they already bit me!

That sounds great, not to mention flat out moves.

Melting Slicks
My mouth is watering. I'm having similar done soon, nearly the same cam and all...but I'm still up in the air on headers. (Since I've found out that I can have them where I live.)
I keep wondering what 1 7/8" would do with about the same setup.

I think you would be better off with 1 3/4" myself, doesn't seem like the larger headers have any advantage under 500 hp.

Melting Slicks
I know by the cam that the OP didn't want to sacrifice drivability at all. Having driven the car a couple months now, do you think that you wouldn't have minded going with a slightly bigger cam?
