What year is it? Is it a manual or auto? Did someone put in an aftermarket radio?

did you charge the new battery when you installed it? Sometimes they are on the shelves a long time.

No doubt. These cars are finicky about shutting down. I installed the "XM version" of Lockpick and dead battery. I called them, they sent the "non-XM version" and all is well.

Maybe Kenwood has some similar instructions for the Vette.

Under the battery is the main wiring harness. Check to see if the battery leaked.

thanks guys
it was the navi. the little blue box that runs the radio and speakers was not cutting off, so the battery was going dead in about 4 hours. it is fixed now, i swapped the boxes out.

FYI. since you ran the battery dead several times, unless it is an AGM type battery such as an Optima, you have really hurt the battery. Standard flooded SLI batteries are not made to take that abuse. It may not be a problem today, but it will be later and then you will want to blame the battery.

Only the Optima yellow tops (deep discharge) are designed for abuse, not the red tops.

We need to hire you!

You are correct, but Reds will take several deep discharges before you will impact performance.

We make Optima Batteries, in fact the TechTips were filmed in my garage.
