LG SUPER RAM COLD AIR carbon fiber true ram air
Here you go guys.
The ultimate cold air -- ram air; The "LG SUPER RAM" Coming in next couple of weeks. second prototype will be in and test fit next week.
The Green lid gets replaced with the air intake to the engine.
Notice the separation of the intake air from the radiator air. this separation is not present in other cold air systems and this makes this a true Ram Air.
Only cold air from the front enters the Super Ram, and through a panel filter then to the engine with about 14 inches of water pressure. >Track tested with instrumentation<
The lid will be in carbon fiber and it will NOT have the mounting tabs on it because they will be unnecessary since it will be mounted on the filter and the engine.
Thanks
Lou G
STREET VERSION OF OUR RACE CAR RAM AIR!! the upper 30% was our RAM AIR on our race car!

Yes it will cost a Ball Park.
Actually All I know now is what I paid for the tooling and molds. I should know more about what the piece price will be in a couple of weeks.
We are having it built in carbon because the plastic molds would be more than we can handle.
If we can get them built in PVC plastic, then the price will come down for sure. But we are talking plenty of "MOOLAH" for sure.

MOOLAH==== I haven't used that word for quite a while

You never know. some people think the C6 is out of their price range and you have one.
So somewhere in this economy, with 401ks now in the 201k range, we all realize that this is no dress rehearsal.
I think the operative word is Finite. there is a beginning and an end, and we are all closer to the end than the beginning....WOW, way too philosophical for a Ram Air Discussion
We are getting this built in Canada. There use to be a favorable exchange rate with the Canadian Dollar I think it is close to .94 now, so there went that Idea.
At any rate, we are going to try our best to keep the price where we can offer value for everyone. (so far, all I have seen are Invoices and no income on this project )
Thanks

Hi,
Yes the whole shroud gets replaced. We still don't have the pricing but it will be as reasonable as we can make it and still pay the bills.

I'm sure if your new CAI is anything like your LG Long tubes you'll have a real winner on your hands. I've been looking to replace my existing submarine CAI for quite a while now. Any idea when it yours will go on sale?

YES. that will be no problem. Don't crash into anything before we get the new ones out
Yeah, No problem. Just remind us when start selling these.
We are supposed to get a complete trial system next week so we can approve it and release them to be built.
They are being built in Canada and Hockey season is coming up soon. (late August is the start of Freezing up there ) Just kidding but we should be ok as soon as we release the first one.
When we started this project, the US Dollar was worth 20% more than it is now against the Canadian dollar.
Thanks

This looks like it should better the performance/gains of the Honker (the Honker is great piece too though).
Actually, this LG unit looks like it could be sort of a hybrid between the best principles of the Vararam and the best elements of the Honker and maybe even Breathless style intakes as well.
I'm still a diehard Vararam fan but this thing looks like it could be promising (and lots of 'moolah' LOL. ).

Lou,
could you comment a little on any anti-hydrolock you have in the design ? Some peace of mind there might make it worth a little more than the other brands...

First of all, there is no way for even a stock air intake to avoid hydrolock if the water you drive into is higher than the tires. So stay out of the river.
But all things considered, the design has ledges built in at the entrance of the filter, AND there is an area after the filter that can hold almost a gallon of water before it would reach the actual filter.
ALso, there is a built in defense when the intake opening is so wide. All the trouble back when others were having this problem was that the small 3-4" tube was hanging down and it only took a small amount of water to close off the opening. that would send the water up the tube like the old money tubes at a Bank.
our design has over a 3' opening the full width of the radiator opening. That would be almost impossible to totally close off to create the vacuum necessary to pull the water in.
You would have to be in water above the top of the radiator opening and you would have to be underwater totally to have an issue.
So stay out of the lakes and rivers.
Thanks
