Add a gauge to your dashboard - - -
Where to put the ONE MORE gauge you need - transmission temp, boost, engine oil temp, or in my case an air-fuel ratio gauge reading a wide-band O2 sensor in my header?
How about just to the left of the gauge cluster, in the blank spot on the dash?
Have you ever taken a 2-1/4" hole saw to the dash of a $50,000 car, and only been about 85% confident that there was nothing CRITICAL where you were drilling?
Well, all is well that ends well - the spot I had picked for my wide-band O2 sensor gauge was in a nice empty area of the dash.
I put in an INNOVATE G3 gauge, driven by their LC-1 controller (tucked behind the rear panel in the left front wheel well, beside the windshield washer reservoir) with the wires fed through the grommet for the hood release cables. The gauge pod is just a 79 cent 1-1/2" PVC coupler, bored out on the lathe to 2.050", for a press-fit for the gauge body, and painted semi-flat black, and glued in place with black silicone.
Many thanx to Joe_G, who blazed this trail before, and gave me a lot of help and suggestions along the way.

I had to laugh...in addition to the 09' Vette in my stable of a half dozen is a 1989 Chevrolet 6.2 diesel Suburboat! I love that thing (it was given to me at no cost) and I feel your pain!

Great solution Lee!
Having a wide band is the key to properly tuning your car and yours is a very innovative (pun intended) solution on where to put it!
Now get your HP Tuners cable and get tuning!
BTW our favorite dyno Speed and Truck West closed I heard - but you can go to Lujan Motorsports out by the MIA airport. Willie the owner is a nice guy and has some FAST Srt Neons. I've been there several times his price is good.
I'm dying to see some numbers from your setup! And Corvette Challenge this weekend - I won't be there though, my trans is kaput.

I prefer to make cuts in things I can replace like the A-pillar cover. One day it has to go back to stock. Other guys feel once they buy a car it has to be ripped from their fingers after death.
Anyway, here's to you for posting all the time to help out others; a great guy in my book.
