There seems to be a rumor circulating about a design flaw in the new "cup type" top mount (now standard, but also offered as an upgrade) to Pfadt adjustable coilovers. Apparently this latest design is more
vulnerable to side loading & in some cases actually causes the shock shaft to break.

However there's no mention of this at the product page on the Pfadt web site:

Anyone have more info on this? Has this happened to anyone using these new mounts?

I have had no manufacturer related issues with a couple thousand miles on them nor has anyone I directly know that has them either.

I've had no issues either yet, but from what I've been hearing there are some. Just thought I'd put it to the forum and see if anyone here knows more since Pfadt hasn't announced anything that I can find.

Sorry, I'm not going to point the finger at people. It's better if someone from Pfadt Engineering would post a comment and explain what this is all about. Is there a recall? Will authorized installers be doing a free fix/upgrade?
