It's an LS3, so I'd say a coupe.

San

I didn't see the 04 Z either.

Not too many Z's are equipped with an LS3. Great numbers!

EDIT: Whoops, I didn't see the '04 Z with LS3 caption the first time I looked.
I'd love to see the dyno runs of the same setup with stock LS3 heads. That would be very interesting.

WOW some great TOP END numbers,,

looks a little lacking down low though, im making 350 rwtq @ 3000 rpms, with stock ls2 heads and cam. but i think thats just the nature of the heads and combo of the cam. (big runners)

did you guys have to flycut, ( assume yes) and are u using stock thickness gaskets?

great work!

Wow those are IMPRESSIVE results, particularly the nearly 450 tq at 3500!

For comparision, the top line below is a cam only Z06, the bottom line is my cam only LS2.

Charlie your LS3 is better than the 427 LS7! Impressive.

It is impressive, but I don`t think you can compair the two unless its the same type of dyno, unless of course it is.

Nice numbers.

Damn! I may just sell my whole topend. My cam is very similar. Were the heads milled? Stock intake and tb too? Wow. Wonder what an LS2 would do with the same set up.

What would those heads run $$$ ?

I think that you are reading the graph incorrectly. The log did not begin until about 3.200 RPM, at which point the car is making around 420 RWTQ SAE.

All with a cam smaller than any other car over 500rwhp.

Raising the bar again and again.

Those heads are insane.

Very Very Nice

There have been a ton of opinions on how much you could get out of the LS3 minus or vs FI

Guess your post answers that

Beautiful job

Default CNC L92 Heads

How about some more info on the heads?

Nothing on the RPM web site!

What compression ratio was used?

What valve/spring/rockers are used?

Costs?

So are these modified/ported LS3 heads, or new heads for an LS3? I apologize if this is a dumb question.

Dynamic Compression ration = 8.95 - Static Compression = 11.9

We use Manley Next-Tek & Patriot Xtreme Gold Springs and Retainers

Our Ported LS3 heads are between $1650 - $2275, depending on valve selection. This particular set was $2095 and the hardware included:

• new castings
• ss hollow stem intakes
• ss exhaust valves
• springs, retainers,keepers, etc
• CNC ported
• serdi comp valve job
• milled & cc'd

That spot at 3000 RPM is where the load cell released the rollers - this car actually makes way over 400 lb ft of torque down low - I just started the dyno run a later event.

Flycutting = .060 intake and exhaust and stock head gaskets

What kind of street manners would a cam like that have?
