Default Installed my MGW shifter today

What a product, not that I expected anything less.

Install took me about 2 hours. I took my time and reviewed my steps. Pulling apart the interior wasnt too hard, it was positioning it to the side that was a pain in the butt. I couldnt remove any of my connectors (other than the hazrad lights) but I was able to lean it far enough over to do the install. I also spent some time fumbling with one of the supplied washers, the hole was too small and would not go around the bolt, so one of the bolts holding the shifter down only has a locking washer.

There was a supplied rubber ring that said it was for the shift boot that I didnt use. It was not in the directions and I could not figure out exactly how to install it correctly.

Shifter itself is amazing. Firm, and the throws are much shorter than stock. I dont know how I drove the car before. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a new shifter.

Thanks MGW for the awesome products and service!!!

If anyone in the Vegas area is getting one, I'll be glad to lend a hand!

I'm using the stock ****. The only other **** I like is carbon fiber **** from pipedreams...but they are kind of pricey for a shift ****.

I have the MGW and love it. Our carbon is a cool ****, actualy for a solid billet **** covered in 100% real carbon fiber manufactured to bolt to the OEM / MGW **** and have a built in boot retainer its a steal

Default Can't Wait

Mine shipped yesterday. Can't wait to install it. I have heard so much about it. When I got the Vette I was surprised that the stock shifter wasn't shorter and firmer.

So what is up with the electrical connectors. Why are they so hard to disconnect?

I just ordered my a couple days ago. It still hasn't shipped yet, but I can't wait for it! Sounds like it's a definite must-have mod from all the rave reviews.

The connectors are all of the buttons and whatnot that are connected to your center console, like your traction control button, cigarette lighters, and the hazard light. They're a bit of a pain to get off because they all have different clips, and are positioned in such a way that you really have to contort to get to them.

What made you guys go with the MGW over Hurst or B&M? I have had a both in previous Camaros and TA's, but never had a MGW. I guess what I am saying is talk me into it. Maybe some of you Hurst and B&M guys can pitch in here as well.

Does the stock shift **** installed on the MGW sit at the stock height, or is it higher than stock? I've seen a few pictures that show it higher, but I don't know the details.

I had a B&M in my GTO... No comparison in terms of quality, operation and certainly customer service. MGW is the best!

Hey Payton.....just do it..it is by far the best shifter out there.
The other makes are good, the MGW is fandamntastic...not only is it a flawlessly functional piece of equipment, it is a piece of art to those of us in the world of machined parts. simply beautiful!
I will say this it was my first mod and the one that has made all the other performance mods work like they are suppose to...
If you cant shift it, ya cant drive it

George I might stop by on my way back from Lousiana in a couple of weeks to visit your shop.
Thanks again for such excellent workmanship and customer service.
