Default 1/4 1st time

Will be taking my stock 05 manual to the strip tomorrow for the first time. I am in the dark about how to launch. The car has the stock F1 Goodyears. Does one simply rev to a specific rpm and dump the clutch on the last yellow light and if so what rpm would that be?

My goal is a 12.7 or better. Is that possible with the stock tires?

You can do it no prob. I achieved a 1.85 60' on the run craps before I changed them out. You should hit that time with min. problems.

Default Oops

60 2.3...1/4 13.3 @ 108.9 My best run of 3.

Worst was a 60 2.3 13.6 @ 108.5

Last was a 60 2.3 13.5 @ 109.8

All were run with TC/AH on.

My modded o1 was faster.

Live and learn. Not as good as I thought I might be. Good thing is lots of room for improvement.

Remember, if you get wheel hop GET OFF THE PEDAL, or you will surely walk home having broken your third member.

Those sound like realistic expectations to me. It's not easy (especially with a M6 on runflats) to run 12's your first time out. There are lots of thing to figure out (unless your very experienced at the track). Good luck, hope you do it!

Default Spin

I think the 60 shows too much wheel spin. The 1st to 2nd shift also had wheel spin. I believe if I can control the wheel spin better 12s are very attainable.

You should have better times then that because I run a 13.3 at 108 in my stock a4.
