Default Attack of the Clones? (New best time of 11.056@124.385)

I'm posting this for my good friend Ron Graham who's car ran it's best time ever yesterday in Sacramento - 11.053@124.385MPH.

When I said "clone" I was referring to the fact that Ron had noticed the times my car was running and decided to follow the "imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" approach - he flew me out to Tucson last week and had me install a Yank SS3600, 3.42 gears from RPM and a line-lock kit from Cartek. Since my car is also making very similar horsepower numbers (440 to my 410) I was able to use most of my tune file and had the car dialed in after only 5 passes last Saturday night - hence his car becoming a clone of mine.

The car ran an 11.385 at Speedworld Raceway (near Phoenix) and since I brought the car home with to have his cage installed, I made a few more tweaks to the tune and took it to the track yesterday. With those few extra changes and being at a lower altitude, it ran the 11.053 on just the second pass of the day. We have a ported intake manifold from Cory at LS2 Portworks that hasn't been installed yet so we're hoping for 10's once we do.

Thanks for reading.

Christopher

Here's the video and a timeslip:

I believe the throttle body was ported by 21st Century but the intake manifold is still stock for now. Hopefully swapping it for the ported one will get the car into the 10's.

This is not a clone....this is a killa and congrats on your accomplishments

This is a Z06 killa. Do you guys realize that if a Z06 driver sleeps and many of them do sleep, your A6 equipped with those mods would be a hand full to deal with and down right hard to beat on many racing formats

Thanks,
Carlos

Yeah, the timeslips simply don't lie - a converter is an awesome mod for this car.

You're very welcome, glad I could help. Once you get a wideband in there you should be able to get your times down even more.

Very cool Christopher.

So close to run 10's. The ported intake should do it.

I have my converter for sale, so if you know of anyone, send them my way. I will sell it the way it is [ 3400 Vigilante ] or I can send it back to PI and have them change it to the stall of my choice and at that point it will be a brand new converter.
I'll call you later
