Default Right turn signal flashing fast

For the past few weeks, my right turn signal has been flashing at about double-speed. I'm well aware that, usually, this is down to a blown bulb. However, I've done a full walk around the car with every conceivable combination of lights on and every bulb seems to check-out fine.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Ian.

This just happened to me. But even though the right side rear blinker was still working, I noticed that the inside light was not blinking, just the outside one. Take a closer look, I bet you have a blown bulb on the right rear inside tail light. And to make it worse, the light is on, it just doesn't blink (combo bulb with just one leg blown).

Good luck.

I'm having somewhat of the same problem. I installed sequential turn signal modules and my right side starts off blink at normal speed and the goes to double speed.

Where do you find a scanner at to check the bulbs?

The dealer said my turn signal fluid was low and the problem was then fixed...

Just to update this, I went out and had another look and both filaments in both rear turn signal bulbs appear to be illuminating and blinking fine (albeit at double speed on the right side). Also, strangely, when I use the hazard switch, all bulbs flash at the correct rate.

Depending on the year of the car it may be a wiring harness issue. I think the issue is with 05 cars only.

While they were working on it did you go out to get 100 yds of shore line and the keys to the oar locks

Did you check the front side marker light? On some GM's that blinks in sequence with the front blinker, maybe your marker light is burned out. Also, don't you folks on that side of the pond have a signal light on the upper part of the fender? Is that burned out? If all that fails I'd try the blinker can, it's cheap and usually easy to replace (never did it on a vette though).

How about the altenator. I had a 88 Beretta GT back in high school that had an alternator go and a couple weeks before it happened the turn signals started flashing faster than normal.
I've heard someone else I know mention this too. Just a guess.

Here is what I found out last night and it has fixed my blinker problem. One of your bulbs could not be dawing enough current and it will make the cars flasher think that a bulb is burned out somewhere. I did some research and found that 3457's draw a little more current and are the same bulb as the stock ones so I replaced all four in the tail lights and the problem is now fixed. I hope this helps.
