Junping out of gear
Just recently my car began jumping out of gear when I accelerate from a dead stop in 1st gear.Any suggestions? The car is an 06, 6 speed with w51

Do you have an aftermarket shifter? The stop bolts might need to be backed off. If they are not allowing the leaver to fully engage a gear, it will pop out under load.

I had an 84' camaro back in the early 90's and it did that as well. turned out I grinded the shifter forks from shifter overtravel (shifted hard all the time, because I loved chirping 1st to 2nd gear). I dont know if overtravel can be achieved with the vette since the tranny used in it has internal stop bolts. I am only saying this because my car did the same exact thing, jump out of first gear on take off. U might want to check that out as well.

Went to the agency
I went to the agency and the tech and I rode around for about 10 minutes and it didn't do it.It never fails,it ran fine with him in the car and hasn't done it since. The tech said if it begins to do it more frequently, its probrably the syncros. He said each gear has its syncro, and perhaps the syncros went south.:fla g:
