ok, car blew up the trans... I went and got a trans from a member o the board out of a matching year (2007) car, now the car will not start..
It is not the battery, the car is recognizing the fob, but it is not cranking.. it shuts everything off, and you can here the T/B move, and it has fuel pressure, but nothing..
Any ideas would be great thanks..
Do you have to re flash the ecu (hp tuners) to get the car to recognize the trans?
Since there is a seperate Transmission Control Module in the Transmission you may have to have a tuner to "introduce" the new TCM to the ECM?
Chuck @ Corvettes of Westchester can probably answer your question.
Swap your TCM from your old A6 or have the new one tuned by Chuck. Mine did the same exact thing when the main harness plug was not fully plugged in so the PCM must not be recognizing the TCM. Just my .02.
