Default Vararam question?

hello im planing on changing out my factory Air Intake for a Vararam Ram air kit. A forum member is selling a vararam of his 2008 ls3 and I wanted to know if this is the same kit as for 2006 ls7 or will it work???? thank you guys.

Hope you don't hydro-lock your engine. Some have with a bottom feeding CIA. If you don't drive in the rain don't be concearned.

I had a Vararam on my '07 and have one on my '08. Here in Northwest PA we get a lot of rain, and I have never hydrolocked my engine. It usually only happens if you decide to drive through deep water. I have been in torrential rain many times with no problem.

Of course the thread went right off track by someone who heard stories from others.
To answer your question, yes the Vararam will fit. The main difference with the kit is when you order for the Z51 option, which includes a modified bracket.

It's too bad the suppliers don't integrate something like this into these systems. It wouldn't have to be exactly like this, but the concept is valid.
