They must have let Julio smoke his cigar in the car. That's the trick folks. Tell Julio he can smoke while he tunes and you get extra horsepower.

Wow...that is unbelievable.

I wonder what could be picked up by porting the LS3 heads?

The title of the post made me laugh "cam+boltons" instead of "cam only"

Yes we wanted to make it clear that it was not just a cam, but all supporting mods.

With porting you should see an additional 20-25RWHP...the intakes are really restrictive and can't wait for the FAST manifold to finally come out.

No vids this time, but Nate will be visiting the track very soon

Hey Julian,

What can I get out of an LS2 with the same mods as the LS3. My current mods on my car are Lg's no cat, Z06 Borla Stingers, 4.10's and a tune.

I WOULD LIKE TO BE AT 470rwhp and 470rwtq OR MORE WITH PORTED LS3 HEADS.

What would be the cost?

Thanks Julio,

Michael

Depending on cam choice, Cartek can easily get you to 470+rwhp using the L92/LS3 heads on your LS2, especially with a manual trans. They've already gotten nearly 480rwhp out of an L92/LS3 heads and cammed LS2 with an automatic.
Your header choice might be a factor though for Cartek has obtained higher gains through Kooks.

They got 482 RWHP on my LS2 with L92 heads. That's with 3.42 gears, so your would measure a little less on a dyno.

Stick with the LG headers. SpinMonster did a before/after dyno run between Kooks and LG and LG made 20 more horse below the peak.
