C6 rear end noise in low speed operation
I have a 07 C6 Auto that emits some rear end noise when doing low speed forward or reverse turns, like when backing out of the driveway. The noise is more noticable when the car is cold.
Has anyone else experienced this or should I head to the dealer?
Thanks for your advice and comments

Type in “Rear end noise” in the search feature of the forum & you’ll find many threads on the subject, common problem. Your roof may pop & make noise also, another common problem.
GM service bulletins out for both.

rear end
Quite
common. Dealer will change out fluid and it seems to help. Don,t know yet whether this is a permanent cure or not. Time will tell. Being of an age that I drove and remember the old( 60-70,s) muscle cars, this noise was quite common with cars with positraction. From what I,ve learned from mechanics who have worked on this problem, the clutch packs look new when they have changed them. It is just a noise that will ,apparently0never completely go away.

I found TSB 3559 for the rear axle chatter. Anyone have the TSB for the targa top noise? Thanks.

clutch pack
I had this problem with my '07 too. Search the forum for the "clutch pack" issue. My dealer changed the fluid in less than 10 minutes drove it around in circles which solved the problem.
I don't understand why the facotry doesn't put the good fluid in the first place.

Here is a link to the updated TSB on this condition that utilizes the new DEXRON® LS gear oil, P/N 88862624.

My '06 makes a very noticeable 'moaning' noise when I am driving slow and turning. Almost sounds like a shaft sliding back and forth along the splines. I'm assuming this is what we're talking about.

I've got the same noise- been to the dealer twice- once fluid was changed, other time "could not replicate problem"
I said screw it, and now I live with the noise. If something breaks, it's a great excuse to put in new gears.
My roof pops also. Maybe I'll put the little E clips in someday.
Car ran great at 165 mph last weekend. Kinda makes those little noises not so important.
