Default 275 35 18 on stock C6 Front Wheel????

I have searched all afternoon to find if it is possible to put a 275 35 18 on the front of my 2007 vette. I have heard that it is possible. however, I am concerned that they will rub or be unsafe. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. If possible, any pics would be great. I have a pair of Bridgestone re050s.

To be on the safe side I would call tire rack or discount tire and get their opinion. I have 275's mounted on 18 x 10 wheels with no rubbing. From what I've read 275's on 8 1/2 " rims is not a good idea.

Thats the Z06 size, needs a different offset? wider fender? and a minimum 9" wheel according to http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp May cause some suspension changes if the tire is heavier.

Default 275/35-18 tires fit the the stock C6 front wheels and do not rub

275/35-18 Michelin PS2 tires fit the the stock C6 front wheels and do not rub. When monted on the OEM 8 1/2 X 18" wheel, the tire exceeds the recommended rim width by 1/2" (1/4" per side). When I spoke to the the Michelin tire engineer he said that is was slightly outside their recommendation, but should not be a problem. Then I spoke to a very knowledgable Discount Tire store manager and he said lets try it. They fit fine and are much improved over the OEM Goodyear runflats. By the way, the Michelin 275 is a lot lighter weight than the 245 OEM Goodyear. Reduced unsprung weight and functional sidewalls make the car ride much better.

Also, the 305/30-19 fits the rear just perfect. Infact, when the new 325 PS2 comes out I am going to try it.

I beleive if the Michelin Engineer said it was outside their recommended limits, I would think that meant it is not a good idea. Also 305 will fit stock wheels however 325's will be outside recommended limits and also will not be a good idea.

Default The question should be why?

What are you trying to accomplish? Better handling, performance, etc. or is it just for looks? If you make you goals known, you will get better answers. But the simple answer is yes it will fit, & is outside (considerbly) factory recs per manufacturer. Go to Tire Rack.com pick the tire brand then go to specs, it will give rim width rec for every tire just to give you an idea how far you're pushing it. I assume you know 275 is millimeters & 10mm = close to .5", just an FYI.
