It should cut out under WOT or high RPMS but when I have my a/c on my car feels dead, so I toggle the a/c switch on/off when I need to hit the gas

You could hook a MSD rpm activated switch in series with the clutch switch and set the rpm to cutout the compressor anywhere you want...Pete

Default ac on/off?

Don't know if it works for sure but this is what I did with HP Tuners.

Stock was set for: I changed to:
Disable RPM 7083 2800 RPM
Re-Enable RPM 7083 2500 RPM

Disable TPS 200% 55%
Re-Enable TPS 197% 50%

I am trying to test this. I'm a noobie at HPT.
I don't know if both or only one of the parameters (RPM, TPS) has to be met.
