My guess would be the actuation solenoid, since the electrical connection seems to work. ( I assume that both the pad on the outside and the button on the inside fail to actuate the release.)

That or battery is dead, or dying.

Default Same problem with driver side on C6

I just had the same thing happen to me tonight. Any suggestions? My wedding is on Saturday and I plan on driving the car. I do not have time to leave it with the dealer...Any quick fixes?

I have noticed that the door is increasingly difficult to open. I thought it was not picking up my remote, but maybe it was the solenoid starting to fail????

You might have to take it to the dealer. What is your voltage. If it is too low, it may be causing the problem. By the way, Congrats on the wedding.

I took delivery on a new 08 Z last night and this morning it is back at the dealer for multiple electrical issues. One is the doors don't open occassionally..They are replacing the door modules..
