Are any forum vendors doing the "spin mod" with porting?

Mike why did you take the injector of the rail?? the rail and injectors come off as an assembly, reinstall the injectors in the rail making sure you lube the orings and reinstall *** an assy, it will make it easier, and take your time and slip them in carefully.

Perhaps I missed this, but where do you put the MAP sensor on the SPINmodded FAST?

Also, on my buddy's LS6 he has small allen screws for the valley cover under the FAST - the pic above shows the factory bolts. Do the factory bolts fit under the FAST no problem?

MAP sensor fitting, right under the rear clearance modification: See Spin's first post in this thread.

WRONG - Clevite Kid. I apologize to the readers, and retract my ignorant statement. Apparently this is the power brake vacuum port. I, too would like the info on the MAP relocation, since a FAST is in the plans for my engine upgrade this coming Spring.

IN this picture you see the relocated air fitting in the back. When you go to home depot go to the power tool section and look for air hose fitting like this one. Seal it on the inside with some of the purple Goop you bought.

Joe
the valley bolts have to be replaced with the ones suplied with the manifold, otherwise the bolts will crack the bottom of the Fast when you torque them down.
the Map sensor is in the front rh side, hard to see, the Ls1 has a small hose barb at the rh rear, which should be blocked off. you can get an extension from Fast, but I like the original location, even though it does not have a retainer like the original.

That's the barb for the power brakes. The MAP sensor on a stock FAST is in back but our LS2's have it up front.

You can buy a MAP relocation kit for $67, the firewall kit for $48. fuel rail kit for $74 from Lingenfelder total $189 but I'm thinking of saving the money and doing the Spin mod.

Just sent you a pick re: the map relocation hole, the kit is more work w/ no benefit plus $$$. Also note the location of the vacuum line fitting in the pics already sent, another option.

Default FAST Install on A6

Did a FAST install on my C6 A6 this past weekend, followed Spin's mod of the manifold. Everything in his instructions is right on the money, I made one small mistake. I installed the brake hose fitting to far forward and it hit the oil pressure sensor, had to plug it and relocate a second time during the install, no big deal. There is actually enough room to put a right angle fitting off of the rear most portion of the intake and align connection with the drivers side of the engine. The install went fairly well, although the LS2 adapter didn't have the right "o" rings so it didn't get used. We did a baseline before we started and then retuned after the install. New figures show(at Max) a 13+ HP increase and a 24+ Torque increase. HP and Torque increase in the mid-range were 23 and 25 respectively. My thanks to Spin for such a good write up on the intake mod, very easy to do once you get past the pucker factor of taking a Dremel tool to an $850 item.

I'm glad it worked out for you.

I am stil doing these for 299.00 complete.

Map relocation
Firewall mod is eliminated by modding the back of the manifold
Porting
Painting gloss or flat/matte black (or hot pink/any color that floats your boat)
Resealed.

Turning around time is about 3 days.
