FYI: Weight Of Stock Wheels/Tires
I just weighed my stock chrome wheels with GY SC tires at 30psi with 6/32" tread left.
Front 18" = 50lbs
Rear 19" = 60lbs
This was on a bathroom scale so figure maybe a 1-2lb accuracy discrepency. Just thought some people would like to have this info.

That is why Callaway offers the Dymag Carbon Fiber/Magnesium wheel as an option for C6 Corvettes and standard on their C16 Corvette. The outer shell is made of carbon fiber and the center spokes are made of magnesium and attached to the rim with titanium hardware. A 20 x 12 wheel weights about 16 lbs. You can easily lift it with one hand.
This wheel alone easily removes 20-30 lbs of weight from each corner of the car depending on what the car originally wore.

I'll take your word for it, but (24 - 16) = 8 and (22 - 16) = 6.

60 pounds for the rears, I knew those big 19" runflats were pigs. I just weighed some brand new drag radials along with the 17" wagon wheels (C5 fronts).
They weigh 43 pounds each. That's a 34 pound savings for the car. Plus, if I remember right, the rule of thumb is that rotating mass is worth twice, so it's equivalent to a 68 pound weight savings. Let's see, not only is it quicker because my 60 foots are .1 quicker, but it's worth another .06 seconds due to the weight savings. Also, since 60's are worth twice in the 1/4, those lighter drag radials are worth around .26 seconds in the quarter mile.

When I did my Widebody conversion I weighed my '08 split spoke wheels, with sensors and Z51 tires, they had about 2k miles....The front weighed 49.6 lbs, and the rear weighed 56.6 lbs.
The wheels I put on were 2007 GM polished Z06 wheels with SC tires, and sensors (~300 miles). The front wighed 50.6 lbs., and the rear weighed 60.6 lbs
