Improved a little from my last. Burnout in first gear paddle about 10 seconds to get good smoke coming off the tires. At launch no noted spinning. HP Tuner log showed timing at 100% throttle was +6.5 degrees of advance increasing to 10.5 at 2 mph, 18.5 at 5 mph, 22 at 10 mph. At 100% throttle my rpm was 1543 climbing to only 2110 at 10 mph. Rated peak torque of 4600 occured at 30 mph. This automatic is sure in need of a loose converter. No KR recorded so could probably add more launch timing but with this tight converter it's just not going to make power at 1600 rpm regardless of advance. Launch IAT was 117* dropping to 97* on the 1-2 shift, 86* on my 2-3 and 77* at the lights.

This was my third pass. First two had mega spinning at launch due to not quite enough burnout. 11.7s on my first but with 121.10 mph.

Thanks for keeping this list for us Tommy!

I won't bother putting the actual timeslip in this post, becauase I plan on bettering my time on Sunday when I go back to HRP. I went racing last night and it was a BEAR for me to try and get traction. The new Yank I got installed was destroying my Nitto DRs unless I was leaving the line easy. I didn't see 8850 there...he possibly left before I got there. My dad and I didn't see any other C6s running any decent times. Most were in the high 12s or low 13s with one C6 Z06 running low 12s. It was unfortunate.

The car made three passes at over 119 mph with the best being 119.81mph, so I'm somewhat feeling that the 367 dynopull I got was a bit on the stingy side (it was done in 3rd gear also).

Overall it was an OK night. It's just unfortunate that my best pass was leaving a lot on the table on the launch. Anytime I tried to stall it up it would obliterate the tires through the 60. Time for longer burnouts and lower pressure.

4. Year Corvette - 2007
5. Type of Trans - A6
6. Type of Suspension - Z06 Swaybars and Z51 Brakes

9. Modifications if any - Ebay Longtubes w/ Offroad X, K&N Intake, Borla Stingers, Tuned, 3200 Yank

Sorry I didn't see you last night. I saw one black but no silver. I left right after my last pass at 7:45. I do need to change my tune and go back again. I found some KR in 3rd gear. I think I'm pretty much peaked out on et as even eliminating that KR in 3rd gear would result in much more et. And too they remined me on that 11.51 pass that I'm almost peaked on what I can run without a roll bar.

Get some ET Streets and your traction problem will be solved. Still running the same headers you showed me at Sear Hardware parking lot?

Yeah, I got there right at 8, so we missed each other.

Yep...same headers. I guess I'm proving that they make power trapping ~119 consistantly in a basically intake/exhaust LS2

ET Street Radials will be coming, but I know I can work these down into consistant 1.6s. It's just a matter of seeing how much pressure and how much burnout it takes. 5-6 more passes and I should start getting a lot more consistant with it and I feel I'll be making high 1.6 60's regularly and working on low 1.6s.

Congrats on your 11.5 run....that's getting pretty quick If you start running sub 11.5s just take it out to Lonestar Motorsports Park...you can run the times without a rollbar there. I raced there exclusively for the last year while HRP didn't have Sunday Test N Tunes.

yep, we missed each other.

I found that Nitto DRs don't hold very good at all back when I had my Camaro. Not sure about ET Street Radials but I know ET Streets hold much better than Nitto DRs.

I would give a buck or two for your 1.73 60' time. You have your LS2 moving very good now with more to come!

I have run 255 ET Street Radials to high 1.5 60's back when I was racing my firebird. I prefer them over ET Streets because they're a lot more friendly to drive to and from the track on them. If I were running a manual I'd run ET Streets though for the softer sidewall...helps to not shock the drivetrain as much on launch.

I know Nittos aren't the best...they were working great before the converter though. I'll go out a few more nights with them and see if I can get them to work. If not i'll be swapping out.

Cooler weather over the weekend in South Florida. Took a ride to Palm Beach International Raceway saturday evening to take advantage of this low humidity and cooler weather(55 degrees). My bolt-on LS3 ran it's personal best eighth mile and quarter mile.
60'...1.54
1/8...7.15@95.98
1/4...11.21@121.18
I will try to get a friend to send the time slip in. Not really computer savy, I'll try to get in on Monday!
PS...Don't get all excited if your an LS3 fan...I got beat by a bolt-on LS2 (dicky). He ran a 11.16@122.36 mph...

Great times for bolt ons! How in the world do you get a 1.54 60'. My best is a 1.843 and with no spinning.

MY LS3 A6 has 335/18 Hoosier drag radials mounted on C5, ZO6 12" Rims ,3600 stall and 3.15 gears. Track hooked well last night. My previous best 60's were 1.56 and 1.57's. Changing the converter yeilded about .3...Big difference in 60'.

Converter! Now I understand. Is a converter considered a bolt on? I know it has been discussed. I need one!

.3 change in 60' would be about .5 in the 1/4 mile. And too with a converter you keep the rpm up at shift. Mine feels like it kinda falls on it's face a little on that 2-3 and 3-4.
