Install a 08 Steering Box and let us know how it turns out.

Kidding

I and many C6 owners are waiting for someone to put a 08 steering box in a earlier year car.

I agree, check the p/s fluid.

Hey guys,
I was looking at geting an '05 or '06. Is the steering box issue a common problem? What other checks / things besides the fluid can you check on these?

I had a C4 for a while and it was a well known problem with the steering racks that they would have a tendancy to be stiff and take a while to warm up. Is this a similar issue with the early C6's?

Regards,
~C

Default c6 steering

well the power steering fluid was the first thing i checked and that was good, there was 1 owner before me and i was checking his service history and it shows he had steering problems before, they replaced the high powersteering hose before with a redesigned hose the service order says. Well the bottom line is that my factory warranty expires in about a month. Have you guys heard of any potential catostrauphic problems this could be leading to?
