Default Where did you buy your 4.10's?

Ready to purchase mine. I have a few questions:

What set up did you go with (hardened output shafts, etc.)?

What brand?

How much?

Service you received from the supplier?

Thanks, Mike

I had mine done by Chuck Cow of Westchester Corvettes in Ossining NY. I live approx 40 miles from him and I think that is a key issue. I would recommend you stick with an installer / retailer that is within striking distance of your home.
I have a stock case with 4:10's and beefed up axles.
By using the stock case I have a stock / OEM look and when the car is serviced by GM it doesn't draw any attention.
I've even had a warranty fluid and slip additive (2) done at no charge.
Try getting that done with a aftermarket case!
Anyway, it is the best modification for the buck.

ECS, Cream Ridge NJ did the job. The main reason I went with ECS was because they (ECS) will install the new gears into "your" original differential, rather than installing someone else's core into your car. I actually watched them thru the entire process, it's pretty involved.

I did this in the beginning of the summer season on one of their specials for $1600 including the hardened shaft. The service is excellent, I had headers installed at the same time with gears. Highly recommended, service and price

I have the DTE Phase II and the strut brace kit

HP upgrade package
engineered 4340m-300M hardened steel left output shaft upgrade
engineered HD clutch pack preload spring upgrade
engineered needle bearing axle support upgrade
engineered internal carrier oiling modification upgrade

Working directly with Phil was great.

I think the entire set up ran around $2100 plus install. The car really takes off, of course heads and cam didn't hurt either.

Hello

Can anyone reply on these:

-what is your rpm at 60 mph ( or 70 mph ) when highway driving - how did it differ from your 2.5 or 2.7 oem gear ratio?

-any drag racers -- with oem 2.5x 2.7x gears - what gear and rpm re you hitting the traps with ....how did it change with the 4.10's

-I see 3.90 and 4.10 mentioned -- are these the only options?

Thanks
Greg

As stated we were going to raise prices after labor day. MN6 is now $1395, A4 3.15 to new gear is $1495 and A4 2.73 to 3.42 with new Z06 carrier is $1695.00.

the hardened output shart remains the same at $295.00

MN6 upgrade $1395.00 + $295 hardened output shaft is still only $1690.00

Hey Mike...Don't foget....

We have the CURE for the weak 05 diff which totally eliminates the need for the bulky, expensive, and now unnecessary housing brace on the 05 cars and even on standard shift C5's....Additionally, please remember that OUR rear end is built from a BRAN NEW 08' DIFFERENTIAL which is superior in strength and durability to the OEM 05-07 diffs.

We have recently put a few of them out there for testing and all is good....Additionally, there is nothing "aftermarket" looking about it and looks totally stock to the untrained eye...The dealer will never know. and you will not break it.....

I did the stage IV. DTE is great to work with.

I am running about 2200 rpm at 75 mph with 4.10's. The nice thing is that six gear is actually usable. If I punch it in six gear the car actually takes off. No more down shifting to pass.

Personally I think the DTE brace is pretty cool and looks great.
