Imho the Callaway C16 coupe, cabrio & speedster are I'm certain very well made top quality cars as Callaway is known for a first rate product. Some of his products are targeted for very well heeled customers that are in a completely different category than most of us. I think they call that the "carriage" trade. We're all in different leagues, & most of us would be just as happy with a C6 Z06, or a modded( supercharged, turbo'd, 427, etc) C-6 for a ton less money & probably more than a few prefer the stock looks of the C-6 or C6 Z06 to any of Callaway's offerings this time around( not to say he didn't have prior rendering's that had the right "look" & really turned heads). In the end it's a matter of what turns you on & how much money you want to spend to scratch your itch.

It may be a stretch, but have you ever considered that a lot of people may be saying it looks like impractical goofy excrement because it is impractical goofy excrement, and not because we just can't handle 'expressive' design?

Jus' wonderin'....

The lesson from history I personally take looking at this experimental car versus the C16 is that one was an intelligently and gracefully executed work of automotive art, and the other is the Callaway.

It hasnt rained here since april so put your rainy day fears to rest. The concorse was great btw.

unfourtantly i was a ford man my whole life but my wife was a Chevy so i have owned three 75 04 05. the only way the helmet idea would be any good is if the back lifted and helmets were fixed and when it came down it went over your heads like a capsule with life support air and heat. and it also looks like they stole the idea from Pontiac solstice

well let me think JEFFEY!!!!!! last Sunday i seen one on the highway. looked brand new he wanted to race so we did top end no match, from a 20mph and 50 mph no match, and a dead stop and i told him go when your ready. no match needless to say i smoked him hands down, bar none, not even close and he was very cordial and congratulated me. and guess what when was the last time you saw a Studebaker or an Edsel or even a Corvair what a dumb statement

..a little intake work, headers, gears and a tune (like yours has) and that "outclassed" Z will be right next to you, minimum.

and my intake is stock and he had headers and exhaust. he tried me and lost i guess he thought like you, he had a super vette. sorry for breaking your bubble you run what you brung he didn't bring enough and i am in no way saying a c4 cant beat a c6 but that one couldn't beat this one on that day. and as a mater of fact i was going to buy a c4 a teal one, beautiful car

No bubble bursting here, but running a modded 11 sec C6 against a (17) yr old Vette and gloating about itwould be equivalent to one putting down a kill on an L82.... with headers of course. Newer car better beat it!

a wins a win and he was modded and initiated the race. and he challenged a c6 with his 405 hp zr1 thinking here's an easy kill
and of course i am gloating the same as you or he would be if you won theirs no argument facts are facts

You are right. Althogh there are slews of Zs in LA I have seen less than a half dozen here (in person) my lifetime.... Might explode if they are taken off the battery tenders. I tell ya I feel like the lone ranger sometimes driving this ol C4 around. Maybe I just need to buy a trailer, I dunno
