Default Exhaust! Borla or B&B

What's up everyone. I'm a first time C6 owner along with a new member to the forum. I purchased a 2005 red C6, 6-speed manual. I am looking to buy a cat back exhaust system. Yet I'm interested in either the Borla stingers or the B&B bullets. I'm looking for a more aggressive tone! Could anyone give me some input on either of these exhaust systems?

Sincerely,

Victory05

The quality of manufacturing of the Billy Boat system is outstanding.

Can't speak for the B&B, but my Borla Stingers sound and look great. If you are looking for 'muscle car' sound, these are the ones

Could you give me some feedback on the B&B's when you get it installed? Thanks.

It's in the "ear of the hearer", but I like Borlas and will put them on our new 08, if it every arrives!

I went from Bullets to the Stingers. The Bullets are loud all the time and the Stingers are loud when you want them. At cruising they are tame. Of course this is my opinion and I suggest go listen to them 1st hand

sound clips do none of the systems any justice. if possible, you need to hear them in person to be sure of what you're getting yourself into longterm

I had Corsa Sports on for a week

Too quiet at idle, no muscle car sound, huge ugly cans, and more weight than the stock system. Outside of that, they were great!

Just installed a GM Performance Offroad system today (Meineke Muffler did it for $80) and they have the roar that I want. Reminds me of my old '66 big block! I'm told that they are equal to the Borla Stinger II (2 stacked mufflers together). And the BIG stainless polished tips with the Corvette flags on them look great.

I had the B&B's with x-pipe installed on my '07 vert.Sounds AWSOME.If you want LOUD and MEAN there is no way to beat this.I think the Borla's are nice too but not near as loud.Had Corsa Pacecar on my C5 wich was ok, but not loud enough to spend the money on.
One thing however, if this is a daily driver you should go with the Borla as i think the B&B's will just be to loud to tolerate all day long.

Borla's= deep throaty idle but not really viciuos, although they do scream a little, when you stomp on it.
B+B BULLETS= always viciuos,24/7!You'll go deaf before they go quiet!
You should also look into BASSANI's.Hardly ever mentioned on here, maybe not as advertised as the other two or three mentioned, but every bit as muscle sounding as BORLAS,louder than them when you stomp on it,and not a stitch of drone in the car, along with big fat round tips!!! Here's an old picture

I think the 08 NPP mufflers are great. Added them to my 07 C6 with headers (ARH).

No drone & awesome sound under load. They bolt in as they are 2.5" pipes on inlet. The catch is hooking up vacuum lines, but that isn't really that big of a deal

I had the bullets on my C6 and loved them. I sold the car and bought a ZO6 and just bought bullets for it. I cant wait to install. The quality of both systems is top notch. IMO, they have the best tips of any aftermarket system.
Heres a clip of my old C6 coupe with the bullets.Enjoy.

I had Borla stingers on my 04 and was very happy with them. So when I got my 07 I put Borla Stingers with the X pipe on it. Sounds very nice in my opinion. The main thing is, get those stock pipes off and make it sound like a Vette should sound!!!

I believe Borla makes them for GM. Sound for GM Off Road is pretty much the same as Stingers. The GM system has clamp on / bolt on tips. They are not welded on like the Borlas. To some people the clamps take away from the appearance.
