1/8 Mile Time
A friend of mine has an 07 C6 without z51 but has the 6sp manual transmission. We took it to track last week and I ran it and spun basically all throughout first, but still tackled 8.955 at 82mph with a .079 reaction time. What are stock C6's like his supposed to be running around if you get a good launch? Thanks!

At our local 1/8 track my Z06 ran a 7.41 @99.8 MPH......temp was in mid 90's. With good traction your car should run low 8's, you might even sneak in a 7.99 once in awhile.

Unfortunately the message is loud n clear. Sorry...something ain't right. ET and speed apears to be more like drivers error than car sounding like inexperience.
High 8's is a good running Mustang with a good driver.

Not all tracks and weather are equal. Where I used to run, a mustang would run mid 9's if decent..newer ones. I saw a few very good runs my C5Z's and they hit low 8's with DR's. Altitude, heat, bad track prep doesn't help even when there is a good driver behind the wheel.

General Launch Techniques and Improve Your Shifting
Improving times at the drag strip requires the right techniques embedded in muscle memory and procedure. That comes from study and practice, practice, practice.

I just downloaded my run on the track. If I knew how to put it on here I would. Im not sure if I can post links to other sites, so thats why I haven't done that. So if anyone can help with that I would appreciate it. Hopefully someone can tell me something by watching my run. Thanks!

My 05 C6 Vert A4/3.15 with a Magnaflow catback did a 8.14@89.52.
My 06 Coupe base manual with K&N and Corsa Sports did a 8.24@88.83.
The manual tranny made up ground and edged out the automatic 12.55@115.85 to 12.57@110.67.
