Default Techs/Tuners in NC?

Hey all I'm just wondering if anyone knows any good places in eastern NC that do good work...instead of bringing my car up to NJ for 550miles to cartek, It would be easier to just go local where im stationed here near wilmington...i plan on doing a good amount of mods when i get back from deployment...or should i just truck it out and go to cartek which is a trusted and excellent tuner in NJ close to where im from?plan on head/cam pkg,CAI,headers-full exhaust, gears,FAST or similar, throttle body, thermostat,shifter,tune....

Jeff gets customers from all over and helps sponsor the Corvette Challenge, a points based drag racing event in many states. Anyways, he and the guys do great work, take care of your car well if you need to leave it with them and they stand behind their work. Jeff and the crew has installed 2 cams, the L92/L76 combo,a FAST intake, headers, and tuned my car, all done expertly and was always done when promised. I'm thrilled I found the shop so I can have a mechanic/tuner I can trust.

He tuned my car and my previous car. I generally do all the wrenching myself. But he can handle that as well.

I run a shop in Tampa and am a competitor, but have met him & have seen his work & have a great respect for them. We are the West Central FL Corvette Challenge coordinator.

hey all thanks for your input...it seems that theres people out there who seem to think that CAM has messed up cars...ive heard from users on this forum and other forums(horsepower junkies) that he literally ruined cars...of course this is all what im hearing and ive never even met the guy, so its a tough choice...i have heard only good things about RPM and MAYHEM....anyone deal with them?and of course CARTEK up in new jersey but I dont want to drive up there ever again...any input?anyone ever hear of this?i sure believe and trust the members of this forum way more than any other if i even believe the others...thanks

rather than asking more questions about more facilities, why not get in touch with some of the people posting above? ask them for their experience and who else they know about that's had a tune at CAM.
