Stock LS2 vs Stock LS3 dyno overlay with LG Headers and Cold air
Many have been asking for this comparison so we put the graphs up together.
Both C6 Corvettes had LG Pro Long Tube Headers and a cold air intake. THe LS2 had a halltech cold air and the LS3 has a K&N cold air
the other difference is that the LS2 (06 C6 Corvette) has a "Tune" and the 08 C6 LS3 does not have any tune.
Other than that, both have no cats and each has the same muffler.
Thanks
Lou G

If that is a 2008 without a tune, what would you expect the curve to do with a tune? Obviously it will widen that gap in the upper RPM where it s pulling away from the 2006 now, but I mean would it possibly break off the 2006 line down low too in the 1500-3500 range? Seems both models have the same power until 3500. Would a tune on the 08 give it an edge even there too?

390/395 seems a tad on the high end for an LS2 w/ just headers, no cats, and a CAI.
Also see that, relatively speaking, the LS3 has a big TQ dip around 3K RPMs. Perhaps tuning can fix that.

The exhaust flaps open up at 3500 rpms at full throttle which results in a "Torque Jump" rather than a dip.
Still it is a great car for a 6.2 liter.
The LS2 car had a similar muffler on it since it has a dual Mode Muffler from a Z06 on it but with flaps opened up for the dyno.
Thanks

That is a torque "Rise" caused when the new "Dual Mode" exhaust mufflers open up like in the Z06 cars.
