Default Drove a 2006 Z06

My friend bought a 2006 Z06 with 8000 miles on it and he let me drive it and all I can say is wow. Awesome car and performance. I was shifting the car at 6700 t0 6800 and it was 120 mph right now. As far as driving around it was very simular to my Z51 C6 in ride quality, seemed a little louder inside than my car. Shifter seemed a little more precise. Front air dam was easier to scrape. All in all fantastic car.

Was at a show in Houston this weekend and there were about seven Z06 there. Talk about awesome and several has some nice mods, one even sporting nitrous....

I got to ride in one, and I could tell that it had loads of tq! The guy didn't really get on it but I could feel it.

the tm is so brutally penalizing, you don't really realize how strong that car is until you get rolling in third or fourth gear. It's like a light switch. It just pulls like wild once the tm feels the need to slack off. The first two gears are much more penalizing. a stock 427 z06 with tm tuned off and some dr's is easliy a ten second ride...that is until you twist off a driveline part

Considering that Ranger is already at 11.2s pure stock in only decent (but not perfect) air, I think that there's a possibility that a TM tune alone could yield a 10.9 even on stock tires.

I have learned on my car the smoother the better they run and the Z06 seems to like the same treatment.
