Dude, your post came at the right time.

I have Corsa sports, the Calloway intake and I dyno at 363. I ordered the same headers today from Andy at A and A , will be here soon. I have a quick lift,so I now know Ill have enough clearence for the install.

I was told to use the GM gaskets from a 1998, as it has the metal shims. Did you torque the head bolts and if so, to what lb?

BTW, nice pic of the exhaust train in your sons bedroom, might as well start em early!

If you have the lift you will have no problem at all. My car was only about 18 inches up on stands.

How do you like the corsa sports? I guess I should ask after you install the headers, so you are able to hear the entire package.

The header`s came w/ "dead soft" gaskets from ARE. I have heard of people using the factory metal ones. I have never used an all metal header gasket myself on any of my previous cars.

I assume by head bolts you mean the header flange bolt`s. I have never used a torque wrench on these or on any set of headers. On these I used a 13mm ratcheting wrench and tightened them as tight as I could. Ran it to heat cycle them, then after cooldown retightened. You`ll be suprised how much they loosen up after the heat cycle. Now actual head bolts that attach thehead to the block you must use a torque wrench.

The room is actually just a spare room. But my son is being indoctrinated into and "America`s Team" fan....

Thanks Carmen!!! You guys are the best. Outstanding product, great fit and excellent customer service. Not to mention the power increase I`ve never installed a set of headers and mid-pipe that fit so easily and came w/ all the parts!!!

The last set of headers I put on an LT1 4th gen f-body were Jet hot longtubes, plus stainless steel works y-pipe. Had to order the o2 ext seperate, decent header gaskets ect.. the Jet-hot brand headers were an absolute pita to get in. Had to take out all kinds of stuff. Then to add insult to injury the y-pipe would not fit at all and I had to take the car to a local muffler shop who cut it up to make it work. Not so w/ this system, everything fit perfectly!!!

Our new headers are selling so well its hard to keep them in stock.
American racing is working double shifts to keep up with orders.
So please be patient as soon as we can will ship all the orders.
Thanks Carmen & Dennis

Do all the AR headers use 2.5" intermediate pipes, or is a 3" available?

Flareside, Mid pipes can be ordered in 2-1/2" or 3". The 3" mid's reduce to 2-1/2" just before they end to allow you to connect to the cat back.

The American Racing headers do look great and your install experience with photos very well done!

I am really curious to hear if you throw codes? It would appear the cats and rear sensors are much further backs then the
Kooks and almost the same as LGM Pros.

Several weeks later and no codes. I have just finished install of my Callaway CAI and now its time for a tune. I will post before and after tune numbers of the ARE headers, catted x-pipe and Callaway CAI over my stock dyno numbers. I just need to find time to see the tuner.

They`ve been great so far!!!!
