I was one of the ones who asked you how it was done. Yes, I would love to know how to do it myself, but in actual practice, I would prefer a professional of your caliber with actual experience to do it for me. I am not ready to pull the trigger on something like this TODAY, but I would like to gather information and possibly do this in a month or two, depending on the cost, of course. I would like to have the assemblies painted a dark flat gray color to contrast with my Machine Silver coupe. I don't want some troll pissing you off so I have no opportunity to get this done. As far as I know, you are the only ones that know how to do this. That being the case, I would not expect you to publicy disclose something that could be termed a "trade secret", as long as you are reasonable in your cost structure.
There seems to be a lot of people on this forum who are looking to pick a fight at the drop of a hat... one of the reasons my participation level has dropped over the last several months. I would ask you to try not to let them create a sense of distrust for the others on this forum that might actually prefer your team to perform the modification. And while he has valid opinions, there are certainly more tactful, respectful and constructive ways to express them.
Please consider me "interested" and you can PM me if you want to continue this discussion off-line.

This is an easy mod! I've done it many times to chrome RSX headlights. Ripped them apart, painted them black or whatever colour and put them back together.
The light assembly on the C6 is no different than any other light assembly. I highly doubt Callaway did any cutting. Just put them in the oven at 300F for 20 min and you can rip it apart easily.
To put it back together, you just heat it up again for 10 min to get the glue nice and soft and then use a bunch of clamps to hold it till it cools. The seal will be as good as new.
I use to charge $100 to do this mod for people. I'm sure that's a lot less than Callaway.

I noticed the same thing. Lots of bickering.I liked the C5 section better, but hey, I bought a C6. I guess you can't pick your friends, even on the Internet. I wonder if Al Gore saw this coming when he invented the Internet.

on some cars, that may be a "solution" to the matter at hand however, on the car that Callaway did last week, I think it would look goofy
