I've seen some postings of low 1.8 sixty foots for the C6 auto and I'm just curious as to how they managed to get those kind of sixty foot times out of a stock C6 auto. I've seen as high as 2.3 sixties and the best I can go is high 1.9's. Anyone with any track knowledge on this? I'm thinking suspect on the 1.8 sixties on a stock C6 auto.

On street tires (and I don't mean drag radials - I mean TRUE street tires) and without a higher "stall" speed torque converter, anything less than 1.9x is very difficult. I know it's not impossible, but I'm leary of any claims of 1.8's. I think those are very rare.

Track prep (and tire pressure, air conditions) will of course have an effect on sixty foot results. I've been to some tracks that netted me a sixty foot almost 2/10ths slower than what I pull at the track I normally frequent.
A high 1.8 in a bone stock 3.15 geared 2005 C6 auto is possible at the right track IMO.

I agree, I do not own a C6 but I ran occasionally in the 1.8s with a A4, 3.15, & runflats C5. Only HP mods were vararam and hypertech. So I was well under the LS2's 400HP.

I have ran 1.823 60" on stock tires 25 psi but my auto is not stock. lpe head and cam,headers high cats 2800 tq converter, lpe air intake.

I guess anything is possible, but the best I have seen has been low 2.0s this summer at Englishtown. We will see what develops as it cools down.

The 2800 stall converter is most likely what helped your auto get the 1.8 sixty foot. How does your's run with the mods that you listed? I had seen someone post a 1.8 sixty foot and they claimed that they left off of idle. That was very suspect.

What times did you run and what mods and setup does your car have? Have your times varied due to the weather at E-Town? I've run there before.

Try to make it down to Atco instead, that's a 1.9 (or better) right there for sure.

Mine is bone stock, auto with 3:15 gears. Went to the Corvette show & go and were only able to make one run: 2.0 sixty foot, 13.2 @106 on a very hot, humid day in August. The launch was ok but it spun in second and got a little weird in third. Unfortunately, I ran with 20 pounds of air in the rear tires. Precision C6 (kooks, honker, auto) with 36 pounds in his rear tires ran 12.80. I don't remember what vettejoel and the rest ran.

We had previously run our Cobra earlier this summer and watched other new Corvettes (MN6) run low 13s also in the heat. I am waiting for it to get a little cooler. I want to go on a Wednesday night to see what the car can really do. I figure with the cooler temperature the car should break into the high twelves.

Yup, Atco for some reason seems to be a better track. When we ran there in the 90s with our 5.0 Mustang we always ran quicker times.

The rear is a 2:73, I launch at about 1800 to 1900 and am getting the 1.9 60' with no problem. Soon I will be dropping another rear in this thing. This is with street tires.......

I was at the Corvette Show and Go in August. I ran 12.7's that day @ 110,111 mph. My sixty foots were 2.02,2.03. I've run at another track since then and went 1.98,1.97 but the altitude at that track is higher and it was hot. I ran 12.7 there also. I read an article that an auto ran 12.3 at E-town with an SLP package. Anyone with any info on that car?

I spoke with you at the Show and Go event. Your car runs good. The last I heard was 11.7. Have you gone faster than that? The problem with the sixties for mine is not being able to get into the car right away because of the traction issue. I'm thinking the 2.73 as opposed to the 3.15 might actually help it launch better with the factory EMT tires.

Thanks... car is still running the same numbers. I would think with a higher gear ratio, it would give you a better launches or 60's. I was running 3:90 on my C5 and was thinking of installing th same on the C6. I was advised to install 3:73s since I am running N20. I've already purchased a 3 series carrier and will be having it install soon. Hope to see you soon at the track, come say hello...

Are you going to be going to a higher stall converter? One of the problems I have had is the car leaving and then breaking the tires loose around 4500 - 5000 rpm. I know tires would help but it's a daily driver so I'm trying to work around the limitations of the tires. On paper the lose that I'm getting on the sixty foots would put my car in the low 12.4 high 12.3 range. I had a C5 auto with 3.43 gears and aftermarket tires and the 1.8's are very possible then. That one ran 12.5's.

Absolutely going with a higher stall(2800-3000), hardened output shafts to. Its a matter of getting the car over to the shop to get the work done. I don't think they make a converter for the C6 yet though.. If you are gonna run the car at E-town, I suggest you throw a set of BFGoodrich DRs.

jerrymuniz there is a converter out now, I think it is a Yank. If I remember correctly it was a 3200 stall. I saw it on one of the forum vendors web sights.
