These are the mods and results from my 05 C6:

60' - 2.057
330 - 5.62
1/8 - 8.51

1000 - 10.96
1/4 - 13.04

Anyone else have any info to share. I know it has low miles and it was my first time at the track with it but I was expecting more from this car.

Yes, there have been some better times turned with auto. tranny STOCK C6s. The general consensus, I think, is that times get better after the car's got a few more miles on it and the drivers get used to it. At least 1 forum member turned 12.76@110 with a stock auto.

I've been 12.56@110 with my stock Z51/Auto with 100 miles, then with 500 miles. I think you'll find that your car will run faster when it's cooler. I ran my numbers around Thanksgiving when it was around 50 degrees.

your times are fine considering the mileage and temps.Cool air and miles will make a very big difference(3 to4 tenths).I expect to see very good times in nov and dec.I wont even take my car to the track now with all the heat and humidity down here in south florida till dec.I have a 6spd with stinger intake and bullet exhaust

13.0s is not bad for an auto in 90 degrees.
Down here in TX, 90 degrees happens about 7 months out of the year. So that is pretty much the everyday street conditions.
However - Your time does sound a bit high for the 2 mods that combined are touted to provuide upwards of 30 rwhp.
You mentioned you are a newbie to the strip. What was your launch technique? Did you have a lot of tire spin? Did you have any tire spin?

I have seen 2/10s and as much as 3mph difference between 90 degrees and 60 degrees. There are an awful lot of variables when comparing 1/4 mile times.

Mine went to 12.7s on a 80s day to 13.0s on a high 90s day. But my car is stock. I think any mods to a C6 Auto will require changes with LS2edit. IMO.

I have an auto with 3:15, Kooks Long Tube Headers, Kooks High Flow Cats and the Corsa Sport Exhaust. During the April Bowling Green C5/C6 Bash my best time on a rather crappy track (others opinion as well , not just mine) with BFG g-Force tires was 12.48 at 111.4 mph. Have since added the Calloway Honker intake but have not done any more 1/4 mile runs. Have not tuned the car as yet which will help it a lot.
Here is the info for my best run:
R/T .270
60' 1.95
330 5.32
1/8 8.07
mph 90.73
1000 10.45
1/4 12.48
mph 111.4

No I'm not new to the track but that was the first time I brought this Vette. I have a C5 with some mods that run 12.50's.The C6 feels awfully sluggish from the line.My starting technique is 1600 - 1700 off the line and quickly but gradually accelerating. I run it with everything disabled and in drive. No tire spin.

Did you make any changes to your computer or air sensors? Also did you do any before and after runs without the headers? How loud is the your Vette with the headers, high flow cats and Corsa exhaust? Is there a lot of resonance?

Track locations (physical locations) can make a significant difference as well. Not just for the sake of heat/cold but also elevation. Anyone ever lived in Denver, CO and moved to somewhere with a low altitude. The difference is unreal.

Melting Slicks
I was at Infineon dragstrip on July 4th and asked a guy with a yellow C-6 auto what he was turning and he stated that 13.3s His car still had the paper plates.

Have not made any changes to air sensor or computer as yet. Need to do so but waiting on some new programming from z-industries. Did not do before runs as I put the headers on almost as soon as I got the car because ZIP products was running a FEB. installation special and I got the car Feb. 15. Car is louder when you get on it but no resonance at normal throttle. Sound is great!!

CTV,
Have be patient, try a run when its inthe fifties at night, by then you will have the motor broke-in, slightly more confidence with the C6 (looks like your burning rubber for the first 60'), and you should see the mid 12's.
