I got the first Halltech Stinger and I am very happy with the system. I can tell you that I got 11.3 RWPH increase on the Dyno! Jim has the Dyno Sheet on his site. http://www.corvettec5.com/store/index.php

I did have Mangaflows on at the time so can't say about Corsa's but there are a number of other posts here and on other forums about Dyno's with Halltech, Headers, and Corsa's. Now have B&B with a tune and have to get back to the Dyno!

Go with the Donaldson Blackwing,

GM selected to use it for the new 2006 Z06 so that says a lot about why they choose it over what the LS2 uses and this way its a stock approved aircleaner

That's ALL YOU'RE GETTING with those upgrades? (what did you get BEFORE I wonder)...

I'd have figured much closer to 400 than that...

(scratches head & rethinks mod plans)

What is the best intake? Based on??? I would guess dyno numbers. Anyone have a list of all 3rd party intakes with associated dyno's?

I am pretty convinced that none of the intakes work. The only results are from vendors and they are suspect, you can play games with dyno's. Of all the forum guys that have purchased an intake, I think I have read results on one or two, and they were questionable. Why is nobody giving us positive results? Answer: There is none.

The reason is that the stock LS2 intake is very efficient as is. The largest tuner in the country (sorry no names) disected all the intakes and concluded that they all produce no hp. This tuner uses no intakes and makes more horsepoer than anybody. What does that tell you?

Moral to the story. Save you money. Buy a cam or some headers and get some real results. The only results I am reading is that they make a nice sucking sound

When I see some real before and after dyno's performed the right way (same dyno, same weather, same tech, same conditions) then I will be a believer, but not before.

PS Read post 16 on the Lingenfelter C-6 packages.

If you are sucking cold air from in front of the radiator versus hot air from inside the engine compartment. It has got to provide some advantage. @ even 7-10 WRHP it's worth it.

I'm going to Dyno next week & will post #s.

Did a stock BL @ 339 HP & 342 Tq

Installed Borla (no "X" pipe) & Honker

I have personally tested the Halltech and gained 15RWHP. It is a very good unit.

Sick rick- That is where these cars are with those mods. We have done a number of them and they are all within a few hp of each other. WE are also in some extreme heat. You come into diminishing returns quickly. We quite often have cars that dyno real high up north in favorable weather come down here and be dissapointed in the heat.

I've used three, the Breatheless Vortex on a 98 coupe and the 2005 C6, the Blackwing on a 2001 Z06 and the Hall Tech on the 03 Zo6. Been happy with all of them to be honest. I would choose on looks/budget.

I've heard from various folks that the Vararam is the is the best performer but also the most fragile and complicated to put in.

The new Hurricane from Lingenfelter and the Honker from Callaway look very very

Can't say I know which is the best but I bought the
Halltech Stinger. My reasons were:

1. No cutting needed on installation
2. Trivially installed/removed
3. No water/hydrolock issues
3. I followed the development of the Stinger and the
initial prototypes were giving 0 to negative 10hp on
dyno tests. Jim Hall was very forthcoming about his
problems on various forums. Eventually, he sorted out
the design and has published several dyno tests,
before and after, 30 minutes apart, showing gains in
the area of ~10 rwhp. Since then I've seen at least
two other independent dyno tests of the Stinger, all
of which show between 9-15 rwhp gains. I'm not aware
of any other intake with several published dyno charts
detailing before and after results.

I can't say the car feels any different but then again
you'd be fooling yourself to think you could detect
a 10hp addition without a side-by-side race.
