Got a tune on my Z06
I got a Tune on my 09 Z06 with CAI and Vmax Throttle body. The tune increased my torque by 4 and 12hp. I cant tell a difference at all. Is this what to expect for a $500 tune? I thought it would make a noticeable difference somewhere. I guess I didnt know what to expect.

I agree the car did not respond overwhelmingly to the tune.
Not sure how the LS7 motors respond though but compared to the LS3 it would be considered a weak gain, especially TQ wise.
I picked up 25 rwhp and 19 rwtq with just a tune only in the LS3.
Mine was a custom tune not a mail order.

Was that 4-12 gain from the beginning of the dyno session to the end, Or was it from another day's dyno run to compare to.
What I see on many dyno sheet posts is that the tuner had the car on the dyno from 20-30 minutes, did a couple WOT pulls, and just the WOT numbers are higher.
They did not low end calibration. It takes several hours to properly calibrate a vehicle, but some guys want to save the abuse of there dyno, and just do a couple pulls and take your money.
two things that **** me off is when I see videos of the dyno operators using the brakes on the car to slow it down on the dyno, rather than the dyno brakes and no low end calibration.

From what I have read and dyno charts I have seen for the Z06 the better "hand held" tuners like DiabloSport do a good job of adding all around performance & horsepower along with better mileage to boot. They do a lot of R&D on their tunes before they are released and they also have custom tuners available to do a "custom" tune if you like. Oh, and if you sell your car then the tool can be used on the next one, too.
I have their "Intune" which also shows trouble codes that it can erase, etc. and all I can say is it picked my cars performance up. The best so far with headers, cai and a "canned" intune tune on sticky tires has been 11.32 @ 125 mph, Not bad for a heavy Grand Sport.

As GSMan mentioned, I have posted dyno sheets here of gains on the LS7s, and we generally see about 25 rwhp improvements. There's also a few reviews of the tunes from users here.
If you'd like, I'll post the dyno sheet here tomorrow.
Thanks

Melting Slicks
I went from 464 with headers and otherwise stock to 503 with a tune and an Callaway Honker... Not apples to apples, but it seems the tune likely netted me around 25 as well if you give 15 to the CAI.
Good luck
