WMW Computer Throttle Filter Module

The WMW Computer Throttle Filter Module is a computer, which filters excessive throttle transitions.

Direct in series connections make it a simplistic installation, to the factories engine wiring harness.

The throttle filter module can be installed on most any fuel-injected engines and is not reprogramming or violating the factories preset calibration files.

The throttle filter module has automatic self-learning technology, which will also adapt to load and altitude variations. The module also has a power enrichment mode, which can address selected RPM ranges. The throttle filter module reduces fuel and emissions at closed throttle idle and at steady cruise load.

The module is linked to the factories throttle position sensor, crank position sensor and coil ignition / ground source.

NO - required dyno-tuning sessions.
NO - over-writing laptop computer reconfiguration programming.
NO - changes to the factories preset calibration files.
NO - end user adjustments required.

Installation Instructions

Please read all the provide installation instructions before attempting to install the WMW Module and harness assembly.

Step 1 Disconnect The Negative Battery Cable
Disconnect the negative battery and remove the plastic upper intake cover.
Mount the WMW module with the two supplied tie straps to an area at the right side of the intake manifold, allowing the LED hole on the front cover of the WMW module to be visible when the flashing LED is operational when the vehicle is operating. Also when mounting the module, the harness of the WMW module should be directed towards the bottom of the WMW module.

Step 2 TPS Sensor Connections
Disconnect the throttle body’s TPS wire connector, and install the WMW modules throttle body’s TPS wire connectors in between the two factories connectors in

Step 3 Ignition Coil Connections
Disconnect the right front ignition coil wire connector, and install the WMW modules ignition coil wire connectors in between the two factories connectors in series.

Step 4 Crank Sensor Connections
Disconnect the crank sensor wire connector, and install the WMW modules crank sensor wire connectors in between the two factories connectors in series.

Special Note:
The harness from the WMW module should be installed along the right side of the intake manifold running towards the rear of the engine, where the transmission meets and down to the starter motor area.

The crank sensor is located in the area right above the starter motor.

It may be necessary to remove the two-starter motor mounting bolts, and move the starter motor slightly ahead to gain access to the crank sensor connector.

The start motor should not have to be removed to install the harness connectors.

Tie strap the WMW modules crank sensors harness away from the exhaust manifold.

Step 5 Systems Check Of The WMW Module
Reconnect the negative battery cable to complete the installation.

Functions and Operations of the module
With the module installed correctly and the harness exiting the unit from the 6 o’clock position you will see an LED displayed with the key-on.
The LED is located at the top left side of the front of the module.
The LED will blink from a RED to GREEN with the key-on only.
The LED will blink a study GREEN after 60 to 90 seconds of engine operation.

Step 6 Reinstall The Plastic Upper Intake Cover
After making sure that all the connectors have been locked together correctly and keeping the wire harness away from the exhaust manifold area, reinstall the plastic upper intake cover. The installation is now complete.
Has anyone tried this?

Is this a product that Chuck manufactures or is he selling this same product? Do you have a link to his product? We don't manufacture these.
Its just a product that Internal Combustion Engine Technology Inc makes and we put it on the forum.

Thanks
Christian

Unless you have been under a rock, you should well know who chuckCOW is esp on corvette forum. Read his threads. Heck it is even in the subject line. Learn to know the other vendors, it can be helpful.

DSteck, Im just here for the free food!

Hi coSPEED2,
I have not been under a rock. There are a lot of venders on here and I have checked in on many of their websites and made purchases for my Vette and my sons Camaro. I have even checked yours.
Very nice BTW! I guess I didn't get a chance to see what Chuck has going on yet. But I will.

Thanks,
Christian

This is not the same things that Chuck sells, that is it is not a gadget similar to the Boosters functioning.

It is more like a real-time AFR adjustment, like DynoJet and Bazzaz for bikes.

Not to be a buzz-kill but how do you know this is even safe? When offered, "Here, try it out and let us know how it works". What?

Ok, I'm old fashioned. I'm not an automotive engineer, but I've been working as an electrical engineer for 35 years now and make rugged electronics primarily for the Army.

I still don't feel that confortable with throttle-by-wire in the first place (I love my 08 C6 Z51). And while I'm 99.99% certain that the engineers have fail-safe mechanisms in the OEM corvette design so one day my car doesn't go all WOT on me and cause great unhappiness... having written software, bugs do happen. It could take a number of things, all unlikely, to happen at the same time, and bam. I'm sure I'm just overly cautious, but this my first t-b-wire car.

So, now you have a new prototype "system" that connects to multiple points on the engine and controls throttle and other stuff. And it has to work over extreme temperature ranges too and be reliable. The connections have to be sound. I don't know, but it sounds to me like this design is still too new to hand out to people. When you beta test some microsoft software new OS, if it crashes, all you get is the blue screen. Anyway, I'll be curious to hear more about it (...after you've all debugged it for us...) :-)
