Default Houston, TX Folks: England Green or PowerFab for a tune?

Before you slap the crap out of me, I tried searching and reading all I could, but a lot of what I saw was out of date info. I live in NW Houston right near PowerFab (a couple of miles), and am wondering if anyone has first hand experience with them? It seems like England Green is a good place for a tune, but their weekday schedule isn't great for me, and they are farther away. Just looking for a good daily driving tune on my 2010 GS with Halltech and Kooks longtubes, and deciding if there is any benefit to one of these places over the other. May add a cam down the road, but looks like both places do discounted "re-tunes", so that's not a big deal.

Chuck over at (former) HPE did the tune on my GTO, and it worked great, but since they are no more, I can't take it to him (easily), and I'd rather not get that pot stirred up in this thread, haha!

Again, I'm looking for some "I've had my car tuned at XXXX and I liked/disliked XXXXX", not looking for "I heard this place, blah blah" or "I know a guy who said blah blah". Thanks all!

On a seperate note/RANT, does any else find it annoying that there is a buy/sell section, but seems like when I'm just looking for info in a specific sub-forum, it is littered with for sale ads as well...? Okay, rant off .

I don't know anything about Powerfab, but I can tell you that England Green spends the time to do the tune right, not just on the dyno but he takes it out on the street for driveability testing. I can tell you that getting the tune right the first time is worth the time.

I live in the woodlands, where do you live?

I've dealt with PowerFab a hand full of times and always been pleased. Brian (their tuner) knows how to tune very well on the dyno and on the street.

I've had my H/C/I GTO tuned at powerfab and they nailed it. As soon as I get some parts for my C6Z they will be performing the tune.

Overall a first class shop.

PM me if you have any questions.

Went with PowerFab (helped a lot that they were very close) and they got it done this morning. I'll update with how it drives after I have some time to play with it.

And since I know people will ask: In the houston heat with a Halltech, Kooks long tubes, and catted pipes, they came up with 416hp and 410tq on a "daily driver" tune.

My vette was tuned by powerfab and I am 100% pleased. Plus they have worked with me on retunes when I wanted something changed.

you cant go wrong with power fab. bryan is super **** when it comes to tuning and takes the time to do everything 100% correct.

they actually even have 2 dynos a dynojet 224x and a awd dynapac unit

bryan and jeremy both used to own c6s , bryan z06 totaled in rain , jeremy sold c6 to fund turbo LS powered datsun project

i haved bryan tune my car 3 times now (i keep modding)

LS2, halltech cf112, fast 102, Z06 injectors, mild cam, 1 3/4'' catted headers 442 rwhp

he also tuned my truck, and the misses tahoe

i am totaly satisfied with power fab and will continue to have bryan tune my cars.

plus they allways have some cool projects to check out
turbo LS2 350Z , h/c e85 z06, erl 500c.i. camaro, zr1's & zl1's

If you live in NW Houston, just go to LMR and call it day..

LMR is pretty damn good squeezing every bit of power from these cars..

Just make sure who ever tunes your car doesn't lock your ECM/TCM. They and only they can retune it should you need changes.

We tune E85. Here's a C6 Z, 427, 13.25:1CR on E85 that we tuned.

For tuning in Houston, D3 Performance Engineering is the place to go imo.
