That's impossible. Only a four cylinder can do that.

While on a trip out west I was curious just how good of gas mileage you can get cruising, note that tank is on 1/4, so this is after ~400 miles, not simply 50 miles down the road, eat your Hybrid!
BTW, I have found the DIC is usually .8 to .9 mpg high, so it really was only 33.5mpg at this point

Once for 86mpg on a trip for north GA to Fla. Manual trans Honda Insight with hot air intake. Yes, you read that correct- Hot air intake. Flex pipe was routed from stock air box to draw air from above the exhaust manifold. In the winter months the car ran with a complete radiator block.

I read the new Lotus can get 40+mpg and Audi has a TT tdi at 44mpg.

So I bought a used 07 Z51 mn6 and it was previously tuned. I flashed to stock and got it tuned at ECS and if i tap the throttle, the MPG drops to low 20's. Any incline on the road, low-mid 20s. If i am cruising flat at 70... about 25-26 mpg... I have a vararam intake but that is the only apparent mod. Are there any mods that aren't as obvious that could have screwed up the tune? I didnt buy the car for MPG but low MPG = not getting the most out of my vette...

You might check rear gear ratio ????? If the former owner added cam-headers etc and then had it tuned, going back to stock would make it worse. We have 10% ethanol "min" no max in the rugulation some stations add 20% you will get **** mileage no matter what rpm-speed you travel. I got a tank of Chevron that wouldn't run for **** in a lawnmower.
