Im not 100% positive but I believe you will need a retune.
I was at a local tuner and he told me to wait to add headers BEFORE I did the tune.
Now he could have easily taken my $, did the tune then said Id have to come back for any further modding, so...

I did all the bolt ons at once from the air intake to the exhaust and the car was not tune, and ran fine. I only had it tuned after a cam.

If the tune was done right, you shouldn't need anything more than just the cat efficiency codes turned off.

CoW did mine @ Carlisle. Added 3/4" Kooks w/ cats this weekend. So far so good. Chuck said it needs to be re-tuned, so i;m sending comp. to him. Too far to drive.
Definately worth the time & $. Don't hesitate, best mod yet.
Now for heads/cam/intake.......

The car will run without a retune, you will get a check engine light because of the rear O2s and you wont pick up all the power you can with a retune.

You may loose some low end torque and horsepower with 1 7/8. If your going to go with heads cam or Forced induction, then i would go with 1 7/8.

You will pick up more HP and will eliminate the SES light if you get it tuned, but your car will run and drive with the headers just fine. your WOT tune may go a little lean but on a car that's just na headers you should be fine. When you get ready to purchase some header make sure to give us a call, we always are having a sale on one of the headers we sell
